Squeaky springs?

YOu got this problem? well this might help

When you springs were installed.. there wsn't enough space left for the compression of the spring... on the strut baseplate there is a notch where the end of the spring supposed to meet but if you put the end of the spring right against it... that might be where the squeak is from.. most installers rust it so the space isn't left for the springs. rotating movement when it is compressed..

i recommend that 1cm or 1/3 of inch is left from the end of the spring before it touches the notch..

Real easy way to avoid that problem. I put some of the ajustable coil-overs on, and needless to say they were $150 dollars of crap I now have sitting in my room. They squeaked, and clanked, and I got the pleasure of hearing my car bottom out all the time. Then I got smart. I bought some Sprint Springs for my 2K1 Civic Coupe. I had those put on as well as my Ingalls front camber kit. The car not only rides just as good as the stock spring, is as quiet as ever, but it's perfect height. I can't fit a finger in between the wheel well and the tire in the front or back. Rides great and looks great. Didn't cost that much.
