2k1 civic handeling....
well i have a silver 2k1 ex coupe and my parents have a 2001 saturn, 1999 3.2 acura tl, and a 2002 3.2 tl type S... and for some reason i can take curves alot better, smoother, and faster than the Tl's and the saturn has the sh*ttiest handeling in the world, don't buy one... well i think my pulley helps but i would likke to drive a older civic and see how it does on corners. well i would drive my civic instead of the TL's because of the handeling. but when i want to wip some punks, i just roll around in the type S...
i've noticed that our civics have some high steering ratios, which apparently makes the car turn faster and feel lighter... my civic does feel more nimble than my mom's GS300, but thats because the gs weighs like 1000lb heavier, despite it being a "sportluxury" car. our suspension are supposedly worse than older civics, but i dont think thers that much of a difference. macpherson struts are not bad material, i mean even M3s use Macphersons
Oh, and the TL's are not really MEANT to handle like sports cars...they're more of a luxury touring car, even the new Type-S 6spd, which is supposed to have a firmer suspension and quicker steering ratio.
If your on stock tires, just wait until you get new rims and tires. I have 18" konigs with 215/35/18 Parada's and my car handles absolutely amazing!!!

And beleive me, I have taken a corner or two probably faster than I should have!
I also just had H&R sport springs in and next is an upper strut bar and maybe a lower tie bar! Then it should be really fun!!!
Don't forget to keep it safe! (and rubber side down!)

lol noodleboy, movin' on to bigger and better things, arggg , but yeah our civics are decent handlers mostly because they are fairly light and such. I don't like the steering though, has too much assist for my taste, when I go to my dad's rsx-s for the day you can hardly turn the wheel out of a parking spot with one hand, now that is performance
Well i did like my 2k1 vic when i had it, but i must agree, compared to the P5, the assist on the Civic is too much, not enuf feedback if you know what i mean, the P5 is a lot stiffer and u get more control. But civic is also a softer ride and bouncier, at least in the 2k1's...

eh, 3 cars isn't a huge deal. most families have that many cars nowadays i'd say. one for each parent and one for the kids. and then there's my family. we have 3 civics, just for the kids (mine is the only new one, and it's mine, not something my p's bought for me) and my mom has an integra GS. those are just the hondas we have, hee hee.
I'm very pleased with my car, but the handling could be a little better in my opinion. I spend more time driving a police cruiser, so I am used to that more and find it has much better handling than my Civic, but they are made that way purposefully.
