This is something to analyze...

I was reading the 2002 Sport Hatchbacks Comparison Test at Edmunds.com and there is something to look at.

The first thing is that Ford SVT Focus got first place in almost or maybe all test. What happened to Honda?....

Second is that I doing some equations on the results that the new Honda Civic Si got and is almost the same as the 2001, 2002 Civic Ex. Look at this information and you are goanna feel good not to spend more money on buying the new Civic Si if you already have a 2001, '02 Civic Ex

---------------------------------------2002 Civic Si---------------------------------2002 Civic Ex

HP------------------------------------160 @ 6500----------------------------------127 @ 6300
Torque-------------------------------132 @ 5000----------------------------------114 @ 4800
0 to 60-------------------------------8.1 sec-----------------------------------------7.9 sec
Quarter mile-------------------------16.1@86.8------------------------------------16.2@86.2
0 to 60 Breaking--------------------129.0-------------------------------------------124

What do you think about this?........ Do you think is worth to pay more for a car that is almost the same from a cheaper one.

Let me see some opinions about this post.

Thanks

I'm still content with my 2k2 coupe even if it lacks in power. Nice comparsion by the way. Still, I think most people would want to have more HP at the wheels.

tonny... you got your 0-60 times (from edmunds) mixed up... they clocked it at 7.9s, the ex coupe at 8.1s. honda claims the Si does it in 7.5, but most reviews i've read are pointing more towards the 8-sec side. regardless of the si's times, 8.1 for the EX (and 8.4 for the DX/LX) seems a bit too optimistic -- there must be some riceboys fudgin the numbers over at edmunds
