Well was coming back from Phoenix tonight and I saw a highway patrol way up the road pull out and start heading up I-17. So I wasn't too worried but I knew sometime he would pull over and wait. So about another 15 miles up the road I am cruzing by in the slow lane and this new Lexus GS 300 fully loaded gold trim, HID you name it, comes moving right along by me in the passing lane so he is there for awhile and heads down this incline and we are sort of close I see the po po before the lexus so I downshift of course and then he sees the po po and of course slams on the brakes and is then even with me as soon as we get close to him his headlights come on and he pulls out once I pass the lexus, he slows way down and whips behind me and frantically takes the exit that was coming up into nothing but desert and the cop hits his lights and nails him down below LOL. Just thought I would share that story I very rarely witness a rich SOB that is speeding and actually get pulled over and actually witness the whole thing.

Great, and I have to drive anywhere from 1996-2001 Ford Crown Vics. I'd much prefer a Lexus, although I'm sure our narcotics/BSO (bureau of special ops) has cars like that, but it would never be assigned for patrol detail.

I really don't think you'd want to be hopping any curbs in a Lexus ...or any FWD car for that matter. Thank god they haven't brought the Impala to CT yet.

I'd refuse to drive an Impala. Luckily, my department only uses the Crown Victorias. Some of the guys I know at the NYPD hate them. They are small, don't have good pick up, and the handling apparantly stinks when compared to the Vic.
