i JUST TRIED TO WAX MY INTAKE AND it turned black. What happened, How can I fix it. it is an aem sri and it's not chrome, but it's not colored, it's kind of grey, almost the same color of my car. Has anybody else has this happen?? Thank you

The wax just probably turned hot and started burning and left that reisdue on it. Just like the soot from a candle burning. You should be able to clean it off.

water first DO NOT use alcohol unless it's a last resort. My suggestion is taking out the intake and hosing it down, then scrubbing it w/ soap and water. Try regular dish soap so the wax will come off. Dry it off then reinstall it, hope all goes well
