Damnit!! $@#!%*@$
I was sittin' at work yesterday, when i hear a crash. I look up and
the driver of a truck (Mitsubishi Fuso) comes in to tell me he just hit
a car. "Who's blue civic is that?", "Mine" I sighed. So I walked out to
evaluate the damage. His truck backed up into my spoiler...and
screwed it up, dented it in two places...and offset it. He pushed my
car so hard that he moved it forward up and over those long parking
things (made of concrete) which in turn unclipped the drivers side of
my bumper.
It really sux. But what can i do?! I have to appreciate the fact that
he was honest enough to tell us that he hit a car. Otherwise I would
have not have noticed until I went home later that afternoon. Thank
God for honest people. I have to admit though..I am kinda
dissapointed. I didn't chew his head off cuz it's a mistake that could
happen to anyone. But it kinda sunk in when I got home, and I'm

U should report it to the insurance company and make his company or insurance pay for the damage since it was his fault. I don't know your deductable tho. I hope you got his name, number, insurance company, the company he works for, etc....

Rep Power: 0 That really sucks, but good call on how to handle it, it was after all just a mistake, everyone at sometime in their driving days will or have backed into something, I for one have done it many time, just not with my Civ. But is he going to pay for the damages? or anything?

Usually, I would have blown up. But i think the fact that he was so nice and honest, didn't deserve that type of reaction. I do hope that everything gets fixed soon, although I am not worried about the timeliness of it as much as I am the quality of the work.
Anyways, the poor guy had just started working for that company. And he was afraid he was gonna get fired. Luckily, his company told him that wouldn't happen unless he had a second accident. Rep Power: 0 There usually won't be a deductible because the guy at fault is there and HIS insurance will cover it. There usually is a deductible if it's a HIT and RUN and the guy at fault isn't there to pay his dues thus your insurance pays for the damage and you pay a deductible, but it doesn't affect your insurance premiums.

Try and find a reputable place to have the repairs done. Is there any damaged metal? Only plastic? If it's only plastic then you could DIY and have a shop paint a new WW front for you.

I have a shop where I get all my body work done. They're a close friend of the family and always do great work on my car for a great price [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] . I'm not sure if it's just plastic that's messed up. And to be honest, instead of banging the dents outt he trunk I'd rather have a new one. It's a brand new car, and i want brand new parts.

Rep Power: 0 Nice ride, sorry to hear about the wreck. I fianlly got my car back last week from my April 1 wreck. Question: Why did you sell your Civic Si and Corolla Turbo and get an EX? They seemed faster, I had a 96 Z28 with Vortec 12# SC I sold because of reliability issues. Just wondering why u did. I'm definately more happy with a car thats not in the shop every day hehe.

Rep Power: 0 I actually traded in the SI cuz it gave me problems. Some were factory problems, some weren't. Either way I was bored. The corolla i still have. But it's no longer turbo. I blew the motor and sold the blown turbo kit.
