<< About 115 mph after midnight on a pretty deserted highway. 2002 Automatic
-Kre >>
115 in my 97 DX, trying to keep up with this yahoo on the way back from a trip on tax day...sheesh, my poor engine!
130 MPH . . automatic..this was back when my civic was stock....oh and i had 2 12's in the back so yeah, i had weight, and i had a passenger...im not saying it was a quick ride to 130 but i made it there w/o a governer kicking in but i got scared and backed off......
well i have to say it is possible to get to 130 with an automatic. because i hit it on 64 in va.beach but i had 100 grade gas in my car. slowed down because there is usually a trap zone right there. but the car still wanted to go faster.
<< i remember gettin up to 145~155mph in my old nissan pathfinder.. that was a hoot
>>What kind of SUV can get up to that speed? Seriously, aren't they all limited to like 120.
stock LX coupe. automatic.
129.
Afraid to exceed after I couldn't feel my car was on ground.. Plus the engine sound was at its extreme but for some odd reason it smoothened as if the car's running natural..
reduced speed to 65 after and drove like a good boy on a freeway!

~112mph at 4:30AM on I-80... and I'll never do that again lol
The car was too floaty and wasn't very controllable... plus I never want to risk getting a ticket going that fast

99 Civic DX: Computer limited at 120mph
2k2 Civic EX: 120mph, still had some to give.
When I get some rims and tires I'll be more comfortable trying to max it out. The sidewalls on stock tires are way too weak.

I Win! for now at least. just went on a little joy ride with my buddy Josh (n2oSaturn). .. anyway, with him in the car with me we did hit 135mph i prolly shouldn't EVER drive that fast again. especially on nearly bald tires rated at 130mph. but it was fun! i have a ex auto with an injen cold air intake. i have no subs in the back right now and my spare tire and jack are removed. maybe i'll do it again and video it for you guys but i dunno, it was pretty scary. I was taking this one turn and I was like "think i can do this at 120?" my buddy is like "NO, you need to get off the gas" I kept it floored .. the power of a 1.5" drop and a neuspeed strut bar

<< It's funny- the fastest I've been in my Civic is 107mph- but it was in 3rd gear.

3rd gear?
<< 159mph in my Honda S2000 (still had room to go) >>

Would a cop be able to catch you goin that fast? I know cop cars are pretty fast (despite the popular model being the Ford Crown Victoria)... I'm just wonderin...
about 118...it took so long for it to get that high I just gave up going any higher.
however 130+ in my Si!!! Going down 581 she was still going strong when me and my buddy thought the doors would fly off and slowed the hell down

I have no idea. I mean if it was just one cop, no I don't think so. I don't think normal cop cars go that fast. Actually those cop cars are more for cruising and sustaining chase speeds, but not as high as 159mph. Most cop cars would not be able to keep up. But there is always more than one and they have radios so I would never consider it an option to run.
The car was amazingly stable at that speed. Other than the wind noise you would have no idea I was going 159mph. Unreal. I was pushing the gas and it just looked at me and said "is that all you've got?" lol
Did an indicated 140+mph down I-35 on my way to Austin...slight incline, cool day and no wind...I also had a friend's Injen SRI fitted but no other mods.
I have about 1-1.5% speedo error due to my tire size...even then, unless the speedo id not properly calibrated, I must have been doing at least 130mph.
