Popped my rear bumper :(
This sux. I was coming home from watching superman (good movie btw) and i'm all starting the car up and laughing around with my gf...i start to back up, but then i completely forgot that there was a garage column OUTSIDE of the parking space! omg so i started turning my steering wheel and the corner of my car hit the column straight on, popping my bumber out from its clips and chipping my taillights! It's not real bad but with me being the typical struggling college student, this is gonna hurt.
omg i wasn't a happy camper...but I was talking to my dad about it and he said that our insurance has a $500 deductible which we have to pay. So here are my questions:
Should I pay the $500 for a stock bumper or just get a bodykit instead?
My car is pretty much stock right now.
Are there any places with good offers that I can buy the parts from?
Ahhhh someone help me pls.

i dont know where you got the quote for that bumper...but they are bending you over on that price!!!there is no way that should cost that much...its like $150 at the dealer.
but if you were gonna pay $500 anyway...then id just go ahead and get an aftermarket bumper!!

The quote for my new bumper came to just under $500 too.
This was from the Honda dealer's body shop.
$232 Unpainted Bumper and other tiny bits and pieces
$84 Paint and Clearcoat
$176 for 4.4 hours labor
EDIT: If your deductible is $500, and the quote for your new bumper is just a little bit over $500, I would suggest paying for all the repair yourself. The insurance company might try to raise your rates because you filed a claim. Insurance companies are gonna stick it to ya any chance they get.

Yeah if you can get away with paying for it out of your pocket then do that cause it will be better than putting it through the insurance company and then it being on your record and it might not raise your rates now, but if something else happens to the car in the future then they have one more thing on record to show that you are a risk.
Good Luck man.
