WILL THIS HURT MY CAR???

I am gonna change my oil for the first time. I went to the gas station and looked at all the oils and just picked whatever sounded best. It is mobil one 15W-50, there brand new oil. It says its the performance driving formula. It says perfect for turbo and superchagred cars, and amateur racers. Will anything baf happen if i put it in??

Isn't 15w50 too thick? I say you stick to 5w20 there's a reason why they made 5w20,

Thank god you posted here before changing your oil with that. See if you can exchange the unopened oil for some 5w-20. Not all auto stores carry it, so 5w-30 would be fine too. The oil filter will probably be pretty tricky to take off the first time, so be sure to pick up one of those oil filter wrenches.
