So I was looking at the new si yesterday at a local dealership... anyways I noticed that there were two kinds of Si according to the dealer. Apparently, this local dealership will put Si wheels on our 7th generation civic body style and slap a "SOHC V TEC" sticker on both sides(like the si's) all for about $2,500 more than the price of an ex... no engine modifications or anything.. I mean come on, give me a break..I just stared at the dealer when he told me and cracked up laughing, then I asked him what kind of a moron would buy a car for that much more when you can buy $400 wheels and $5 stickers elsewhere... he responded by saying "you'd be surprised the people who buy these, you'd be surprised how many get screwed over"[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

uh... i dont think thats legal.... and in the contract i'm sure it would say 'ex'(or whatever it is) and not 'SI'

as long as the sticker says EX the dealer can add a an SI or OPP or GSXR package aftermarket, and call those options what they want. i feel bad for the tool that buys that car[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG]
