Lexus IS 430
This is a natural. Shove the 4.3 -liter V8 from Lexu's big LS 430 luxury sedan into the much smaller IS 300 sedan and while you're doing it, throw on a supercharger. The result is a Lexus that can consume a BMW M3 in three clean bites, and spit little blue and white propeler logos out its exhaust pipe.
We didn't come up with the idea, but the fanatics at Toyota's TTE did, and hty built one and showed it at the Essen Auto SHow. The supercharger is a Lysholm unit pumping 11.6 psi to whack engine output up to a claimed 398 hp and produce a claimed 190 mph top speed.
HOw is this conversion done? Can you do it at home with simple hand tools? We don't know; the directions are in German. You can find TTE on the Web at www.tte.de.

that's pretty cool but probably not cheap. i don't have a IS300 sitting in my backyard collecting bird crap.

in japan the gs430 is TT..now that is crazy gs430 with stick turbo...and QOHC..that alwyas cracks me up

that soo pimp, well my moms car would be in that magazine also if she got the trd supercharger, stock at 194 hps and 209 pounds of torque and with supercharger 264 hps, and 271 pounds of torque, pushin 4 psi, not bad for 40% increase
