Rep Power: 0 bye bye civic :(
well, i was driving home from work, and this guy on the freeway wasn't paying attention, and he slammed into the back of my civic, causing me to fly into the person infront of me. my airbags went off and every body panel and every light is totaly shot, espically my streetglow kit. my passanger seat mounts snapped and my windshield and rear window both cracked in half.
with the insurance money, and other cash laying around, i'll be getting my nice new 2002 WRX. i'm going to the dealership on friday after work and stuff. i have money for a down payment, so i can walk out of there hopefully with a new car and wait for insurance money to roll in for my payments. so, no more civic for me. i've already found a buyer for my rims, and nothing else in the car was really worth keeping unless it's going into my WRX.
i'll still be hanging around, watching you people fix up your cars. i would have gotten another civic, but a friend pointed out the new WRX to me and i just fell in love.

Subaru WRX = 220hp and all wheel drive
Plus you already have a turbo on the WRX, so it's less painful upgrading and what not. Car & Driver named it the best bang for the buck. Good choice 2k2tiff!

Rep Power: 0 yeah, after i learned about the 220 hp on that WRX, i had to have it. i know there isn't going to be a turbo sized power jump for me, but i don't see a whole lot of turbo rsx-s on the road either. anyways, i'm off to sleep. i have to get up at 4. thanks for the support on the WRX.

Rep Power: 0 first mod for that WRX should be a full 3" cat back exhaust system. youll pick up near 3PSI just from that.

Rep Power: 0 correction guys: 227 hp.
also, if you are gonna go for exhaust, go for a turbo-back. you have 3 cat-converters in that car, you need to get rid of some of them.

Rep Power: 0 Sorry to hear of your ride, hope your all right. Yeah the WRX would be my choice over the RSX-S, I really like the WRX had a subaru before and they are fun. Hope you get the WRX and have some fun with it.

Rep Power: 0 im just curious...if you hit the car in front of you, you were at fault in the police report as well as the guy behind you, right? if so, have you looked into how much your insurance is going to go up if you buy a wrx? just curious, it also depends on your age, but either way just curious

Rep Power: 0 If you are going to do an exhaust upgrade, you might want to check out the new Sport Compact Car mag, they did an exhaust upgrade on their WRX and on of the exhausts they tried gave them like 10 extra ponys, just a thought.
Good Luck with the new car man.

Rep Power: 0 << why do you want awd are you going off road and it does NOT help you in a race >>
If you mean a drag race, it does actually. It's so easy to launch b/c it doesn't have to worry nearly as much about wheelspin as a FWD car. Just dump the clutch at 4000RPMs and off you go. This is why a WRX will beat a RSX-s in a drag race. They should be close b/c of the specs, but the AWD is a big advantage when you launch. Take a WRX from a roll and the RSX-s will probably win.

Rep Power: 0 i would rather have just about dam near everything else than a wrx. i think they look ugly. would rather have my good looking 127hp civic than a 220 hp wrx.

Rep Power: 0 the WRX has grown on me.. it will be the first official project car for our new shop. The new sport compact car has an article you should check out "Make 40 horsepower with Simple Bolt-Ons." that's something we can't really look forward too. haha.. have fun bud. call me if you need anything for it later.

Rep Power: 0 sadboy619, Dxman is right AWD cars have an advantage over FWD cars...my friend has an Impreze 2.5RS(165ish HP) with a Borla Cat back and a Weapon R Intake and his car has won agianst a few 200+HP preludes ...honda engines torque doesnt compare with subaru's engines torques either...

it wasn't declaired my fault for hitting the person infront of me. and it shouldn't. but even if it were, it would be part of my claim against the other person that hit me, so it would still be all good.
BTW, i drove over to the subaru dealership by my friend in ontario and looked at all the pretty cars today. friday will be the day.
