Morning Fun
Well, after not drinking last night (it's been awhile) I actually woke up early enough to wash my car and go for a nice drive. I went on back roads up and down a nearby mountain and was flying. Going 75mph on some back roads and flying around corners I could actually feel my rear end pulling or bending no sure, but I still had fun. People say our cars aren't very fast or they need more horsepower, but if you take a minute and really think about it you can still have lots of fun just cruising around going through the gears (unlike a lot of sports cars). With the music blaring and the engine revving I felt free and excited because I knew I was doing what I loved, driving. Especially a clean car, makes it feel faster.
Just take a minute and enjoy your car and have some fun driving- I guess that's all I'm saying.
I think I'm writing this cause a lot of people on the site have either bashed or complained about not liking thier car/not enough horses or whatever.
Hope your day is as good as mine

I love my car too, and I used to have a Vortec SC Automatic Z28 (11.1@122mph). The Civic is fun around corners screaming to redline chripin geras with the music blasting, especially when clean

On roads like this, horsepower is not even the reason why you're enjoying the drive! HP doesn't matter unless you are racing another car needing to go uphill. (OR unless you wanna drift through those roads... but of course that requires a strong suspension setup.) You should check out my recent thread if you haven't already about me "playing" with the girl in the RSX Type S. Before that actual encounter I had a nice drive through some 1 to 2 lane highways myself late at night. I prefer doing it late at night because the car performs better at night... I'm not sure about the morning... as long as I'm gettin hella cold air through the intake.
I know exactly what you mean.
I just came back from dropping my son off. (EVERY saturday, its Warhammer for him)
The sun is shining, the temperature is just right, not too hot.
The only thing missing is the music. The factory stereo sucks so I just leave it off.
(I am waiting on my new Kenwood HU and Infinity Kappas to arrive)
At 46, I'm older than most (all?) of you on this site and I've had quite a few cars in my life
but I must say my 2002 Civic EX is the most fun to drive car I've ever owned.
Needless to say, I took the long way home.

Yup, every Friday for me consists of a 130 mile drive from 7000 feet to about 2,500 feet. Lots of twisty roads
that can be taken at high speeds. I kinda look at traffic as more of a challenge. I love the drive...I love my car!

mwwhonda- I'm a college student well for five more weeks, but you can wash your car at one of those do it yourself places. Thats what I do, just bring bucket, washing mitt, car soap, and an absorber. (total $ is under $20) The water is supplied there. Take a little bit of time out of your schedule and you can do it to.
