WENT TO THE 1/8 TRACK (IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY)

Well i went to the 1/8 track today with my homie in his RSX Type S. He was running 10 flats..some high 9's. Well i was thinking of bringing my 2k1..but i was like naw next time...so i go there...and there were a couple 7th gen civic there, one girl in a couple just dropped...and a sedan stock. Well i didnt get to see the SEDAN run, but i saw the coupe..EX....and the girl got a 11 flat. I think thats pretty good for the 1/8 track i mean if an Acura RSX Type S is hitting 10's u know. Just wanted to let u guys know.

Does 11'S sound good for the 1/8 track..cuz i know its a lil shorter than the quarter mile...

Isn't a 1/8 tack exactly half of the length of a 1/4 mile track? Not Just "a little" shorter? I know your times won't double(duh!)....just wanted to straighten that out

honda typically dont fair well in 1/8 mile drags. GIven stock gearing, its FWD traction robbing nature, and lack of low end torque hinder it every step of the way. this is why most hondas, even turbo ones play "catch up" at higher speeds. you might not think 1 second is that much faster in a 1/8 mile run, but that 1 second is going to be 2.5-3+ seconds faster at the end of a full 1/4 mile. and THATS a LOT.

that's true, but a guy I know with a 95 civic hatch (with turbocharged B18C1) that runs 12.5s in the quarter, won the modified class (RWD V8 w/ power adder) today with a 7.98. Spankin a little domestic hindside with only half their engine sounds good to me.
