here is a question about a civic. Why does it take so much more money to make it legitmately fast. secondly why waste all that money to make so little horsepower when you could have started with a camaro with an ls1 couple hundred in mods and make 500+ hp

Hahaha because people are idiots who watch Fast and Furious and think they could make their car like that.Why does it take money to make it fast?Because the Civic was never meant to be a fast and sporty car.The main goal of the Civic was to be a cheap,reliable,great mileage and eco friendly car.Then Fast and Furious came along,hello ricer era!The only thing fast with the Civic is a Type R,unavailable outside of Japan and Europe.Some people just like tuning Civics,it becomes a hobby

Then that proves another point why build somthing to be fast that was never meant to do so? i got it it is an inexpensive car to start with but by the time you build it and add all the parts to even get 12second 1/4 mile you could have bought a car that could do it damn near in factory condition

^ Exactly.The Civic was never a sport car,never will be,well in America that is.By the time you a 10-12 sec Civic,you would've spent 6k or more on the turbo alone.In the end,there would be a receipt of 15k plus most likely
