is it just me?
is it just me?
ok, i am not sure if its all in my head or what, but i have a few concerns regarding the handeling of my car
i cant really remember what my car handeled like when it was bone stock, but right now it has H&R sport springs installed along w/ Koni dampers, i have not had an alignement, and i do not have camber kits
when i am at home, which is long island, the car seems to ride pretty decent....but that is majorly because the roads are in nice shape
up here at school, in pa, the roads are $hitty as anything, and my car handels and drives like garbage.......it has so much bumpsteer and the car seems so unstable over rough parts of the road, it just wants to go in all different directions.....it is really uncomfortable, and simply annoying.....
i am wondering if not having an alignment, and not having camber kits is affecting how it handels over rough road surfaces?
i am also riding on a set of cheap a$$ generic 195/60 series tires, they are loud as ne thing, and i am wondering if they are also adding to how poorly my car handels and feels...
any input is greatly appriciated....thanks
mark
edit: i go to school at keystone college, in la plume pa

an alignment is pretty much essential in any suspension work, the camber kit is probably also. but that still doesnt explain the poor handling. I think the Konis are designed for "sport" use, which means corning, braking, the what not. on rough roads maybe the high spring rate is affecting the handling and balance of your car, i dont know for sure
HEy LUZ what the hell is your problem.

I am in Charlotte, NC, and we have some pretty bad roads as well. I really don't think it is the car that is the problem. My car's suspension is stock at the moment. When going over rough roads, handling is basically out of the question. The car jerks around and there really isn't any way to control it. I just think you have found out what it is like to drive on sheitty roads.

no offense civicracer2001 but you mis-spelled 'reason' in your last post.

Anyways.. My Opinion.. get an adjustable camber/toe kit, re-align the monster, get adjustable shocks & adjustable coilovers + get those new tires [and balance them].

he already has adj shocks and lower springs. Did you try to lower your koni shock setting? Did you get an alignment after you had both shocks and springs install? If you think you are all over the place, just slow down for those rough road.
