my new car shelter (pics)

I was tired of the trees I park under at home dripping sap and acorns and branches and all sorts of other crap on my car, so I went out and bought a car shelter at Sam's. I paid $200 for it and I have to say that it is the best $200 I have ever spent. My brother is getting a new Civic in a few weeks so he decided to buy one also. Here they are, side by side.

LINKIFIED

Once my brother gets his Civic, I will take a picture of the 2 cars parked next to each other. peace.

I built a 20 x 20 carport for mine, but that would work perfect for my boat. Where did you find them? Most I've seen only have the top and no sides. What are the dimensions ??

Thats cool, I was thinking of saving up some cash and getting on of the metal siding ones. But those look good too, if it didnt get so windy here it would be awsome.

I would be worried some punk a$$ kids would wreck it or cut it, but atleast they would have to get through that before they could get at your car!!! Those are a good idea. I have a garage but its full of ****, so there isn't enough room to park my car! I wash it like every day though cause those damn birds!!!

its been pretty good in the wind so far. it came with special thing so that you can attach it to concrete so I think we are going to pick up some concrete blocks somewhere sometime soon and anchor them down really good. if we ever had a hurrican coming through, I would take them down. they only take about 30 minutes to set up (sides and everything).

Like I said in the first post, I bought them at Sam's club for $200 each. I bought one and my brother bought one. The front door also zips down so that it is totally enclosed, but I don't think I will do that much.

I don't think anyone will mess with them. we have pretty good neighbors. I am surrounded by old people and they are pretty watchful. I would hate to live in one of those neighborhoods with a homeowner's association. that is just so annoying having them tell you your grass is too high. I live on the outskirts of the ghetto so no one cares over here.

edit: oh yeah, the dimensions are 10' x 20'. I don't know how tall it is. maybe 10'? the side poles for the legs are 6' so I guess that works.

yeah, I guess I am pretty lucky to be living at home still. I will probably be here a couple more years just because my parents don't charge rent and it gives me time to save up some money. they are really nice. we'll see how they do with the wind. they seem to be pretty stable so far.

Great idea and it probably works great but if i was your neighbor and i came home and drove by that thing everyday i'd have to torch it!!!!!!! what an eye sore on the rest of the block that thing belongs on the side or the back yard man.... but nothing against it cause i don't live there so enjoy

Handy for your car, but it kinda ruins the look of your house and front yard.

ya I like the idea, I thought about that but my parents weren't too into it. I guess I just have to suffer with my car on the driveway. I might look into a car cover.

I could care less what my house looks like. I am all about funtionality. (is that even a word?)

if it keeps my car protected, then it is doing its job well. my parents like the way they look. actually. we are going to hang some lights up inside of them I think.

some brackets that go on the polls and then are able to be screwed/bolted to the concrete. I will take some pictures of them when I get home.
