lol, shhhhhh :P Point is, if he has the time and money to do this (we don't know if he does or doesn't) then whatever, who are we to stand in his way? You can take a mans money, car and house, but taking away his dreams is something that no one can do.

I guess... but it's pointless to keep returning here with the idea of "Hey, I wanna do this, and I wanna do that". Never having achieved anything except paper mache on a 300, and a couple of fair at best 3d designes. I mean, you have our opinion. Now DO something... You can sit there and talk about what you want to achieve till the cows come home but until you actually go out and do it stop posting. It's like those people that are posting all the time about turbo builds but they have no money, engine swaps but they don't have time etc. You know it's never going to happen, but you try to be nice and they eventually go away... Props for persistance I suppose. Sorry Sleepy. I know how you feel on this but I really want to see some progress. Use my negativity to fuel the fire and do some crazy **** like build a custom home made car that looks and drives far superior to any crappy ol' lambo or ferrari.

Re: Turning a newer Civic to a Lambo shape concept kit.
Well, truth be told, he can talk about all these concept cars all he wants...
But when it's time to get down to the nitty gritty
He needs a lot of money to tear into these cars and do the actual fabrication
Unless he just has spare 8th gens laying around to disassemble...
I can give moral support, but that's all i can give.
I agree, there hasnt been much progress, but at least he's out to try something new, and actually going out to do it. I cant say that much for many other people.
With that said, OP.
GET TO WORK ON YOUR CONCEPTS, WE EXPECT RESULTS HERE ;3
PS.
This is probably one of the most forgiving forums when it comes to something like this.

Re: Turning a newer Civic to a Lambo shape concept kit.
OP i think I got a game plan for you...
First
Start making body kits/lip kits for cars. Something unique and a direct bolt on so it's easy for people to install.
This will teach you everything involved in making parts. You will probably want to get a job in a body shop to teach you more.
Second
Create a website. Put yourself out there. Attend lots of car shows. And sell lots to ricers.
This will teach you marketing, advertising, and how to maintain your own business.
Third
With all the money you'll be making, you can then afford big projects like these AND have the knowledge to do it.
This is how you will be successful!
And before you say "I don't want to make a product for ricers" remember this...
Enzo Ferrari, creator of Ferrari, HATES everyone who buys a Ferrari. He says that he wants them to buy it for the racing history behind them, but most people buy it just to show off.
THE ONLY REASON HE STARTED SELLING WAS TO FUND HIS RACING TEAM!
And like Enzo, you must sell to fund your bodykit needs!

Lol, ^
And thats why Ferrari will only sell you an Enzo if they like you
Ferrari is garbage anyways, just a 30 yr old's dream sports car thats cheap and fairly fast.
It's like a Louis Vuitton
Same goes for maserati's. Cheap man's sports car.
Sorry, I love venting on exotics because everyone thinks ferraris and lambos are all that, while they're not.

I agree with Enzo though. Most people will buy the ferraris just to flaunt it and say that they have a ferrari. The know Jack **** about the racing heritage or history behind the company. Let alone how to drive it properly.
I don't think they're garbage at all, maybe a little over priced. I think the owners are the garbage. I wouldn't get a ferrari though. If I had to choose a supercar it would be up between a lambo or a zonda...

Yeah, Lambos are a bit better looking,
But if i were to get anything, it'd be a gumpert or a koenigsegg
And if i was going for racing heritage, it'd be none but Porsche

I understand being a honda enthusiast but you have to have a limit. Me i love all cars if theres a reason to love them.
OP if you can support your addiction and still put food on the table for you and your family then go for it. Thing is if your showing this to us you have to deliver not just abandon this one and start a new one in a couple of months. Then rinse and repeat. Which is where all the hate from these guys and girls are coming from.
Oh and all this hate reminds me of this

Re: Turning a newer Civic to a Lambo shape concept kit.
because your artistic revolution isn't going to make you any money. selling a roof spoiler that serves no purpose other then to make a 5k dollar car look better would considering the small amount of after market parts there are for 7th gens but maybe somebody will buy your lambo kit because thats the trend these days as you can tell by this sites enthusiasm for one.
k bud i understand your ambition but you need to realize that the kit will most likely end up costing you more than the car itself. Your shooting for the stars with a broken slingshot right now. I really hope your a rich kid because this will definitely put you in the poor house if you plan on this being your career. Not saying your doing a shi**y job or anything but your attempting to introduce a high end item to a budget market and you'll be lucky if you get a pity purchase from one of your rich friends. Or maybe im just retarded and that is what people waste there money on in canada. In which case good luck. But for the american market if its not Japanese its not worth the time LOL
thats not my picture, its a Peugeot 406 and the kit guys like to use that for Ferrari 430 conversions.

This will teach you everything involved in making parts. You will probably want to get a job in a body shop to teach you more.
My current project is made of fiberglass already, I stopped working on it because I want to use a machine to carve out my design perfectly instead. making joining brackets to attach such kits will be easy compared to what I have achieved in constructing a CNC machine.
Second
Create a website. Put yourself out there. Attend lots of car shows. And sell lots to ricers.
This will teach you marketing, advertising, and how to maintain your own business.
I already have an uncompleted one, NissanVigor.com and to market it i will park it on a busy walking street with a for sale sign on it.
Third
With all the money you'll be making, you can then afford big projects like these AND have the knowledge to do it.
My estimate of 12k to make the Civic is chump change for most people and Im sure I can get that in a few months once the Vigor project is finished and selling.
This is how you will be successful!

And like Enzo, you must sell to fund your bodykit needs!
That's what Im planning to do, start small and expand into more elaborate kit conversions once I make more money.

Does your CNC machine look anything like this one?
