Well I wanted to race my 2k2 HX down the strip bone stock, so I can see where I'm starting from. But I'm getting my Exhuast in the Mail soon ! (Should of been here today[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]) So I don't think I'll have a chance to run it stock.

I was wondering if anyone has Ran thier bone stock 2k1 or 2k2 HX ?? What were your times ?

Also this is a good chance for everyone to post up thier time slips ! Include mods done when ran !

i think the hx is the slowest model even thou it has 127 hp the engine is not a regular vtec its a vtec-e and the engine is made to save fuel not kick in like a regular vtec

Really , I've heard different. It's been said that with it's lighter weight and Longer gear ratio's , Stock for Stock , its a little quicker than the EX..


But only the Times will tell.

I first heard the Theory here Click here by a guy w/ the nick BlackDueceCoupe He's really knowledgable, unfortunatly he's an bit of a JackArse, and he doesn't like our cars becuase of the new Global Platform, losing the Double wishbone suspension.

And Honda Does use that engine in the EX. They only change the V-tec programing and the gear ratios.

bottom line ex faster than hx and lx best bang for buck and hx slowest

Look like I have said before, I have beat plenty of EX's in my Hx. The fastest I have ran the 1320 is 16.5. But I know that i can run it faster than that. The first time I ran stock was 17.7. But it all depends on the drive and the track conditions. By the way the made two versions of the Hx CVT, that is the vtec-e and the regular 5sp which has vtec. Both have 117 hp![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

I had a Magnaflow on my Probe !!! I shoulda hacked that baby off, when I sold it.

Did you increase the Pipe Size ?
Or take off the resinator.

I have a High flow muffler coming in the Mail
I'm going get 3" pipe back to the Cat.
And bore out the Cat.

someone here i think it was hwoody77 ran a 15.8 in a stock civic ex. he posted his slip and showed us the video. you wont get near that time in a hx stock.

I would pay to see an HX beat me in the 1/4.

But... Throw an EX ECU onto an HX... should work. Same HP/TQ, less weight.

The HX has 117 hp while the EX has 127 and the LX and DX have 115
