Pics of my Totalled 2k2 Civic
These are pics of my original civc that I got back in February. I totalled it with 757 mi. on it, 9 days after I had bought it. Just wanted to let everyone know what happens when you fall asleep on the interstate.
Sorry about the image quality, the sun wasn't cooperating.

I have to tell you this story.... I was driving back from Woodstock '94 to Gainesville, FL w/ 3 of my boys... It was about 4 am and I had just crossed the FL/GA border when I started getting sleepy so I pulled over and went to sleep. My buddy in the passenger seat woke up and was like..."Dude, I'll drive" I wasn'tsure, but he insisted so off we went....
Not 5 minutes later, after I fell asleep, he fell asleep. Needless to say we went off the road and totaled my sweet 1990 Honda Civic hatchback... Thankfully noone was hurt, but God I miss that car!

I forgot to mention that neither me, nor the passenger were wearing seatbelts. Not to mention my buddy that was with me was asleep throughout the whole thing too. Both of us were pretty sore/banged up, but no broken bones or injuries except for some large, nasty bruises.

Everyone: This happened in February (the 17th) when I got the first civ...I already got a new one. I just got around to posting the pictures. Like I said in the original post, it had 757 mi. on it so insurance completely covered it. The car hadn't even had time to depreciate in value.
I don't remember the actual wreck. The only thing I remember was waking up as I was going off the side of the interstate. I guess the little sleep lines on the side of the interstate actually worked. It was almost like a dream. All I saw was black and a rocky hill. I grabbed the steering wheel and tried to jerk it back on to the interstate, but thats really all I remember. Well, that and waking up with an airbag right in front of me. I have no clue as to how fast I was going, but I checked my CD player and System of A Down was playing (trying to keep me awake). SoAD usually makes me drive fast and I know before I fell asleep I was cruising at 80mph...don't actually know if it was still on when I wrecked.

Hey,
Forget about the seatbelts, this should teach you to always stay awake.
I work 11p.m to 7.am and have to drive around 50 miles after work to get back home, 49 of those miles are freeway miles and there is no way in hell I'm going to let myself fall a sleep. I get hella drousy but you always got to have something, to keep you awake.
I use sour snacks, loud music which I would sing to (it works) or I would call someone on my cell phone so I can talk.
Seatbelts are a must, but staying awake is a higher priority. (duh)

cool, i have blue air bags. a friend had a 94 civic, and it had pink air bags. anyways, i noticed the whole front of the steering wheel is on the floor. i hope you saved the H emblem, it might be worth a couple bucks, or just hang it on your wall or something.
