WHOO-HOO! 16.205
well ive finally hooked up my Vafc...i didnt think it would make THAT big of a difference at the track, but tonight i got a a 16.205 for the 1/4 mile!!!! previously i couldnt get better than a 16.46 and uselly just ran around 16.6!!! definitly a good buy, and im not the best driver in the world...much room for improvement, bet by the end of the season i can get into 15 second land without even useing my nitrous. sorry for the long post, but im just reeeeaaal happy right now!.....p.s., i beat a mustang tonight, kid didnt know how to drive, but still a kill's a kill
hey boost, did you run your car on the dyno to see the gain?? where did you buy the V-AFC and how much did it run you? could you feel it throughout the powerband or more in the 60' range, or did it kick in more towards the end of the 1/4 mile......
edit: what else do you have under the hood and/or exhaust?

<<are you talking about a Apex'I AFC? I'm looking to get one...hmmm...>> actually, no. i meant VAFC because i am useing the vtech engagement point <which is essentially a on/of soilenoid (sp) switch for my nitrous. the only problem will be converting the 12volt to 6 volt...that way i avoid useing a wide open throttle switch and i can custom tailor my fuel map accordingly... yes i do notice a difference, and its sooo nice to look at my fuel/air meter and see it all in the yellow almost all the time. i think im actually saveing gas perhaps because the engine is working at peak stoicametric levels!
sweet there ar e alot of people that dont know how to work the vtec controllers thats cool u know how to work it right, and where did u mount ur air/fuel meter at do u have a pod gauge, if so where did u get it I cant wait for autometer to make them

Good job! I just ordered one based on your results
With that, my new clutch, an exhast, header, and HF cat... maybe... the first 7th gen to hit 14s N/A? That would be bad ****. I'm trading my 15" ICWs for some 15" Rotas today.. they weigh 7lbs less per wheel so that should help too... Good job with the VAFC... was there any tricks to getting it to work? I've hearn ppl on this site say that it doesnt work without some extra modification.
