With all the damage and accident stories I've been reading here, I gues it was just a matter of time before my number was up. This morning some chick in a Volvo backed up against my right door and mirror [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]
She wasn't paying attention on that side of her car, but on the other side where some a$$hole in a Citroen was cutting her of for a parking spot. Too bad the guy was gone before we knew it, coz I'd really like to tell him how much he sucks in his ugly french shopping cart. Off course it was her fault but I blame him just as much.
So my car has to go to the dealer for perhaps a new door and a paint job probably. One small plus, I can charge the ensurance for some scratches on my bumper I caused a while ago. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] (I hope [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG])

MY ACCIDENT: HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER

I was rear ended coming from virginia back into maryland. The accident happened right before the 270-495 Split. It was stop and go traffic and after I stopped a f'n 18-wheeler didnt see me (or so he claimed) and hit my rear. I then looked back to see who the hell hit me (first time he hit me was at about 5 mph, but it still drove me flying forward), and I saw a 18 wheeler coming at me AGAIN. I put the car in 1st gear and was about to accelerate when the bastard hit me again even HARDER. I couldnt accelerate in time and stalled after getting hit the second time. I had my window open so I started to wave my left hand frantically out the window hoping he'll see me and kept beeping my horn. He finally stoped but after I had a screwed up bumper and back quarter panels (both left and right). When the police came he said to them, "Officer I never saw him". I ended up getting my car fixed by the guys insurance but I thought I would die when I turned around after getting hit and saw him coming at my car AGAIN!!!

Damm that sucks. Well I am one of the numbers as well. I managed to roll my car this winter. Damage was minior to the car even though it was $10,000 CDN to fix, but the bulk of it was the shop rate, they painted my whole car again. I am still waiting to finish all the repairs, I have a few more things to get done then I am happy.

Well, I'm glad to hear that both of you are ok. Your cars will heal pretty quick.

If it makes you feel any better, I totalled my 1st 7th gen Civ 9 days after I bought it. Fell asleep at the wheel on the interstate. It had a whopping 757 miles on it. I'm now on #2.

I've had several near-accidents, and once some idiot coasted into my rear (no damage, and I mean the car, you sicko), but nothing serious (you hear that Lord? let's keep it that way, ok?:frown[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]. My thing is, I keep finding little sh%t where azzh0les open their fr@ggin doors to hard and sh%t[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]

Doors, tell me about it. While I was showing they guys at work the damage, I found 2 more small dents on the left side. These were made by opening doors for sure. It's probably these lame sales people being late for a meeting and throwing open their doors, coz they don't give a fu)k about their cars anyway since they're leased/company cars. Shoot 'em on site is my motto. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]
Got a better look at the damage now. The paint is only scratched on the surface, not all the way in. And the dent in the door is about 1/4 " deep, so it's not grand canyon style. Tomorrow I'll take some pictures, along with some new interior paint job stuff I did this weekend.
Anyway, the chick that drove into my right side didn't have any ensurance papers with her and the cops only show up when it's a real accident. So I got her name/phone number and licence plate. She said there would be someone at home in the evening, so we could figure out the insurance claim by phone. I tried to call several times, but busy all the time. Someone had better be there tomorrow or I'm gonna throw in some extras at her insurance company, and come up with 1 or 2 witnesses.
