Hey,
So after this guy just kinda ditched me with the Civic I was going to buy I'm back at square one.
Now for the past weeks I've just looked solely at Civics and thats what I was going to buy. Looked good, fuel efficient and just seemed to fit me well.
However now after all this nonsense, I'm now considering the Integra and Prelude as well. I always thought these looked amazing, too.
And now I'm kind of stuck - I have 3 cars in my price range (5-7k) and I love them all but can only have one of course.
Now my question is - Of course it comes down to me lastly, but I'm just wondering if each is as good and perfect car for a P plater in terms of reliability and fun.
Would there be anything to stay away from with Integras/Preludes/Civics? Anything that excels more then the other in terms of reliability and fun? Choose what you think is the best.
I've seen a few Integras and Prelude (VTI-R's) for the 6-7k mark but the Civics seem to be a little pricier, getting into the 8k mark.
I have 5-7k to spend. I'm looking at the VTI-R's due to the VTEC engine which everybody seems to really like and I am wanting to do slight modifications, ie rims, etc.
Anyhow, what would you choose?

i think i would go with 99-00 civic SI first, then integra GSR, then maybe prelude. i like the newish preludes but they are heavy cars.

Same here, however, i would swap prelude with the SI, simply because i am biased.
I love the retro look to the prelude, I dont really like the look of the civics's unless they are the Acura EL's
But yes, I agree, if you get integra, get GSR
Btw, "Honda" is kinda broad, what if i wanted to choose an Accord Euro

Johnny Tran stole my S2000 that I had over $100K in mods.

Should get an Accord Euro R instead of the base one.Handles fairly well for an FF car.

Where are you located. It sounds like you are located outside the US. If you are outside the US hen go get the EP3-R. The EP3-R is the best and greatest CTR ever made so far.

I preferred civic Si the newest model for one reason. The "K" engine.
I do love the 6th gen Si also since it has the legendary B16 family.
I don't like GSR that much. My second choice will be the last gen of Prelude Type SH.

I dunno whether it was just me, but I drove one of the newer SIs and for some reason, it didn't seem as "wild" as my EM1 when it went into VTEC. It was still a nice car though.

Idk. B Series VTEC seems a helluva lot louder. That's pretty much what I meant. Would I get one? Most likely. But there were things that turned me off from the car, mainly the interior, but that's another topic.

I had a '97 Prelude and thing ran like a champ. No issues other than replacing the radiator due to stress cracks. But it really got poor mileage - 17city/22-25 highway
Civics get great mileage but lack power. At least, mine does. LOL!
Integra...eh, it's about the same as the Prelude.
If I had to do it all over again I'd get the Civic, for me.
