Thats "what the f*ck is going on here!"
ok, so im driving on highway 17 here in cali, and there is an accident up ahead, so i have to slow down to a crawl, and eventually come to a stop. Traffic starts to roll again, and i go for first gear, but it wont go into first. Im like wtf! So i giggle the stick then go for it again...no go. Now im pissed, i giggle the stick again, and make it go into first. So then i keep on driving, the other gears didnt give me any trouble. Eventually i take an exit, and come to a red light. Again i go for first at the green light, it goes in, but it feels like mush. All the other gears are just fine, its only 1st gear thats weird. Any ideas on what this could be? I have a Neuspeed Short Shift Adapter if thats any difference. I plan on going to my auto performance store on monday and ask whats going on, then if i have to, take the SS off, and goto Honda, and say fix my car. But i was hoping that someone on here would know what was going on.
Thanks

Don't know what to say but take it to the shop. When I was stopped at a light the other day the throttle got stuck at 3gz. I had to hold the clutch in until the light turned green. It hasn't acted up since..

mine use to have problems going into first, but now that the car is broken in, no problems. I believe other members have conplained about how sloppy 1st to 2nd gear are. i believe a "Revo" short shifter, "Kumo" bushings, and a more comfortable aftermarket shift **** would making shifting a better experience.

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
If your rolling too fast and you don't have that clutch all the way to the floor 1st is difficult to engage. Sometimes its also because you shift too hard into first and it causes the shifter assembly to wobble on its rubber bushings instead of getting in gear. For myself I found that the Kumosport shifter bushings helped me a lot with this problem.

Man, I'm a walking advertisement for Kumosport bushings...I really do think they are that good!

UMM... our gears are synchronized for upshifting. as far as downshifting goes, people usually dont downshift into first. if you're rolling, just pop it into second. if you wanna experiment, try popping it into first as the car is SLOWWWWWWLY slowing down: it should slip right in at a certain speed. then you'll know what speed to downshift into first.

UMM what? there is no such thing as "upshift" synchros and "Downshift" synchros, theyre both the same... our transmissions are fully synchronized, it's just hard to get into 1st because of

a) first gear lockout at higher speed
b) the ratio from 1st to 2nd is steeper so its harder to synch up the internals than with the other gears
