Rotors are an important part of the braking system, however, most people overlook the simple things. Components such as the fluid, pads, and brake lines all play an important role in the stopping power of a car. If you're looking to improve the feel and the effectiveness of your car's brakes without spending a fortune try:
Motul RBF 600 Fluid
Carbotech Panther Plus Pads
and stainless lines
Bigger rotors and calipers will improve the stopping power of your car, but you don't necessarily need to spend all the money.

Changing the brake fluids actually help??? Lately I've been finding my 2k1 EL (same as the EX sedan in US) to be pretty crappy. Brakes are cheap (full disc all around), and the suspension is also terrible. My gf complains all the time that the car feels like it's floating.....

I was wondering about that.... A friend who drives a 6th gen hatch upgraded his front to Brembo discs and EBC Green stuff pads... And he's telling me it does wonders... I'm like... WTF? Just changing those two would do it? I always thought MOST MOST important would be the caliper itself.... Then the pads.... Think about it. Those nice cross drilled or slotted patterns don't really come into play in terms of performance other than to cool your brakes. We're not doing WRC here.... I can understand it'll reduce brake fading due to extreme heat, but hell, I don't live in Arizona, and I don't brake until my brakes are red.

to Tony! Now I'm gonna go look up prices for new brake lines and maybe some pads... (discs are too expensive for me now.... No job ) I'm hoping brake lines are as simple as attaching a garden hose....
