FINALLY, got my car to the track
Well, yesterday is was pretty cold but little wind if any, so I took my car up to Bandemier speedway to see what she could do in the 1/4. She ran a 17.9 in the first run because I couldnt catch 3rd, (damn gate) but on my second run I made it smooth through 4th and ran a 15.2. Im thinking with a good exaust and intake, I might be able to coax a mid 14 second run out of the DOCH. Anywho, just thought I would share.
Nice runs. I am bummed though. The Import Drag Wars were scheduled today. But they got rained/snowed out. Bum deal. The season really starts next Friday with the Street Legal Series - 13 Fridays this summer. Can't wait. It's fun to drive a slow car fast. Know what I mean?

Actualy, a 2k1 civ could prolly take me off the line if I dont launch it at 2500rmps or above. The car is slow at low rpms, but once it gets to 3500, the cars takes off.
Wheres your timeslips? Ive raced my camaro at bandimere many times and have tried to see if its possible to race on Non scheduled days and their answer is NO. Im calling BS.

Would it make you feel better if I told you that my aunt does some of their local advertising for them and I have become friends with two people that work there. I dont know when they opened, but they do let people take there cars there and run them, they just arent allowing drag cars and competion vehicles runing yet because the season hasnt started.
Can we see them? I know you dont care if I beleive you or not but Ive never seen a new Celica GTS run that fast at elevation. I just am interested. If its all true than just post a timeslip from the other day and I will graciously admit that you were right and I was an acehole.
thats very fast for a stock gts, from newcelica.org many of them with mods can't get that 1/4 time
With intake and exhaust you can prolly only hit low 14s, try to remove your spare tires too that will help a bit and leave about 1/4 gas in tank

I wonder if this guy realizes that that according to Motor Trend and Car and Driver the new celica GTS will do a 15.2 @ 93mph at sea level! Bandemere is over 5000 feet elevation that means you lose about 2 full seconds racing there. One of my good friends bought a 1999 camaro SS and bone stock @ bandemere it went 14.92 @ 92mph! I refuse to beleive this guys car doesnt lose any thing running at that elevation when every other car on the planet does. Maybe the laws of physics cease to exist in his engine! Or maybe hes a big LIAR!

Im not trying to start an argument, I believe that your car is that fast, But If beat stock GT-S's w/ the port shift until about 85MPH the they get around me pretty damn fast. Nice runs though man.

Intake and Exhaust will never get you in mid 14. It will take way more than that!
