Project 7 COMPLETE!!! aka Emblem Modification
Some of you probably read an earlier posting where i was going to shave my emblems, then cut up the CIVIC emblem and create a VII, in symbol of our 7th gen civics. well i did it and it works like a charm, i make a real quick/ugly webpage with some pics, so take a look and tell me what you think. I think that it went real well.

to cut the civic emblem i actually just twisted the letters back and forth intil they broke, then took a nail filer and sanded down what didnt snap cleanly. those emblems are some real sh|t plastic. then to re-attach i got some emblem glue from advance auto parts. it was actually pretty funny cause the guy asked me if i was putting one of those type-r emblems on my car. i laughed and said something like that.
wow! that's cool. i think i'm gonna try it too, but i thought i'd come out here first and give you credit.
mebbe i'll check and make sure that emblem glue stuff is available where i live before i get too aggressive with my emblem...

uhoh... i was just reading through the DIY threads on shaving emblems, and i got scared off by the posts about how there might be a shadow left behind where the emblem once was.
i have a blue 6 month old civic. anyone else have experience with taking emblem off the same age/colour? any problem with shadows?
also, i was thinking it might be kinda neat to leave the original civic logo on the car, then add the VII after it, that way i wouldn't have to shave at all! what does everyone think?

WOOHOO i got a comment from one of the ladies....
as far as a shadow after you shave your emblems i had no problem.. as for leaving the civic on the adding the VII after, you NEED TO SHAVE THE CIVIC TO MAKE THE VII, unless you want to buy a CIVIC emblem from the dealer.

hehe... yes, i realized that i would have to buy a new emblem for my idea to work (i realize i'm a newbie, but come on!!
once again, great idea, and the finished product looks cool!!
