Street racing is for idiots!!!!
The title sums it up pretty much. PEOPLE KEEP THE RACING TO THE TRACK, NOT ON THE STREETS!!! HAVE SOME CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS SAFETY AND YOURS. I live in San Diego and the day before yesterday down in Chula Vista there were three kids in a raced out car and they decided to race a pickup raced out with all the baja fenders and that stupid ****. Well to make a long story short two of the kids in the car are dead, never gonna race again, three are seriously injured. The kids in the car lost control and hit a minivan. Now if I was the person in the minivan, INNOCENT bystander, and I was just cruisin along minding my own business and that happened you can bet that I would be suing the **** out of the family of the STUPID kids. So why is street racing bad? Well if you want to leave your family and loved ones with not only the pain of your death but all the legal **** that will come along with it then have fun. Or wait what if you don't die and you just kill your friends then how will you feel? TAKE IT TO THE TRACK!!!!!!! Why take it to a track? It is a more controled situation. Oh side note the people in the minivan are suing.

Rep Power: 0 and then there are the 0.2% of the people here like pedrito that think street racing is cool and should be done at every chance they get. keep it on the track people, honestly, it's not that hard to find a track SOMEWHERE, unless you live in the middle of NOWHERE.

Rep Power: 0 Street racers endanger not only their own lives, but also the lives of every other motorist on the road. I've been known to let people slide for serious traffic violations (everyone makes mistakes...) but street racing is not something the police take lightly at all. The cost of an impound, arrest, fines, attorney, etc., far outweigh that of going to the track.

- hopefully when the gateway raceway opens up for the summer, i'll be down for a some legal street racing. plus i can check my 1/4 times. that's all that really matters to me.

Rep Power: 0 I think street racing is fine when traffic is light and doesn't exceed 60-70mph. Lights that have 2 lanes that merge into 1 are perfect. You get about 100 yards to race and speeds only reach like 60-70. Nobody has wanted to race my slow little vic but when I had an accord v6, someone was always wanting to play.

Rep Power: 0 people have many diffrent views of street racing. i think it is telling a guy to meet you at a light to race. i just mess around with other people, like rev at a light, take off fast, but never to exced 60mph. i may act crazy but not stupid. and you should never drive fast in traffic. people just need to use a little more common sence

Rep Power: 0 I know a guy who was in his friends car(a pontiac grand am) and he had his dead friend in his lap after he lost control and hit a lightpole. NO LIE![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG] He was ok, besides a broken leg. I couldn't believe his pal died in a big car like a grand am but they were like goin' 85 and hit a pole. Street racing is dumb as hell.

Rep Power: 0 People with track cars keep it at the track. people with street cars can do either in my opinion. When i race street I dont do it just anywahere there are special roads I go on that are dead. Theres a 20 foot divider between traffic going opposite ways and usually after 11 -12 at night in the warm months these roads are dead (beach roads) and all winter there dead. NO BYSTANDERS. When we race only a driver in each car. If you wanna play games and do 120 on a road with othewr people and be stupid then street racing aint cool. i dont know bout anyone else but the closet track is at least 2 hours away. Ill hit the track with my pro street camaro when I get it but my import will never hit the track. By the was for those who dont like my opinion you can kiss my [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG]

I personally LOVE streetracing though.....but you have to be SMART abou it.
Go to the right streets at the right time, use your wisdom and skills when driving and dont do anything stupid cuz i know you will be crying when your baby civic is totaled!
Be safe but still have HELLA FUN with your civics!!
