i was on my way home last night and i pulled up next to a minivan at a light. the road merged into one lane just up the road, so when the light changed, i started a little bit fast so i wouldnt get stuck behind the minivan, but apparently he thought i was racing him, he must have floored it because he was keeping up with me and i had alreadly shifted to second around 3-3.5k rpm, so i stayed in second and didnt shift until close to redline (though i didnt floor it or anything), and he was still next to me (but i was still a little bit ahead) and by this time the merge was coming up so i gave it some more gas and got past him, but then realized i was up to 60mph in a 40 zone, and he was right on my ***. i dont street race, so if i had known it was going to get to that speed, i would have just let him go, but now i was in front of him. i slowly let my speed go down to 55, then after the next light i only went up to 50, which was the speed i wanted to go in the first place. apparently he did too because he didnt pass me when it went back to 2 lanes for a little bit.
anyway, the point is another victory for a 7th gen civic, even though i wasnt trying to race him (i probably would have really kicked his *** instead of barely beating him if i had been trying [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] )

LOL I hear ya there that happens a lot to me, like its 2 lanes merging in and some punk gets into the next lane that ends and is determined to beat me into my lane. Those people annoy me and I have to show them whats up, so off the line I go for the win, so far off the light haven't got beat yet.

well i got one but i didnt race. I was coming home from the beach ya know just chillin going home with all my neons on and my windows rolled halfway down doing the whole pimp mode thing and my girl was in the car too. I looked back in my rear view and see this thing hauling butt so i pull over to a slower lane and its a freaking ford windstar. Right when it got next to me he jsut sat there kept looking over at me finally when i looked over at him he floored it and started waving at me. I said to my girl" is the dude trying to race" in her shock she said "ya" we both started to laugh then i gunned the $h!t out of it pulled up next to the dude looked at him laughed and gave him the thumbs down and then took off. It was funny i looked back and it looked like he was TRYING to catch up with me. Stupid A$$ minivans.

just thought i'd let you all know.. i used to drive a dodge caravan nicknamed the 'big green import eating machine'. i took out many stock civics, crx's, a few jettas.. i only did that to shut the f*ckers up. like seriously.. i've always driven a stock civic, but NEVER have i thought i could take on a 200hp domestic. why do so many of you think it's THAT easy?

my second car is a chevy venture now.. it's got a 3.4L.. approximately 200hp. it's the same engine which is in the s10 extreme. i still have fun pinning down lil f*cktards in their riced-out 4-banger accords, civics, and crx's. too bad it cuts out at 170kph. that's whne the real fun should begin!
