I have a confession...

...my car has been riced out

A month after I got the car I wanted to shave off the words "civic" and "ex" but still didn't know how and had a friend do it who has his own car shop (mostly audio and tint). He took off my pinstripes first on the sides of the car and with the same little machine tried to take the remaining glue off from where the words were on the rear bumper. He (and me too) forgot that the rear bumper was plastic and the machine was so hot that it took bits of paint right off from where the word civic was. He had already taken "ex" off and the glue remained there but there was that God awful area where bits of paint had been melted right off (where "civic" was).

To cover that area, we devised a plan that same day to put some kind of decals to cover up the mess (repaint cost ~250-350 for whole rear and I was flat broke). So now for the past several months I have had silver dragons underneath the taillights (4dr) on both sides to at least make it look even and cover the mess but I hate it. I'm embarassed to show the rear of my car and whenever I park I make sure the front is facing out so people see my wingswest avenger f.b. I now talked to a guy who will sand the area where the bits of paint are missing, repaint that area, then clear coat the entire rear bumper for $100. I am now saving for that (dammit, I wanted to get the GReddy exhaust) sorry for the long post, but I felt I had to come clean with my riced out rear

I found this site way after it happened and previously didn't know how pathetically simple it was to shave off my emblems

I can't explain why, but the majority of people actually think the dragons look good but imo there is one response
