If u take the G35 and put a gtr traditional wide fender flare and widemouth front end...then the circular tailights u got urself the future gtr
the 350z does even come close cause to the front from rear drops short to a curvy body...the headlights resembles it but thats it

NO..its not goin to be a v8.......its the same engine as the 350z and G35(skyline r35 in japan) the VQ35de except it goin to be twinturbo and awd hicas system/4wd ATTESA system...then new chasis design allow a midengine style improving its 50/50 wieght distrubutions and less wieght.. ...a vq35de already outputs 275hp with TwinTurbo i hope they push it to 400hp.

nissan will probably release the skyline and the 350z on the same damn platform and give the skyline 10 more horses. I mean look at the New Alitma and the Maxima, the cars are practically the same size and the altima makes only 20 less horses. Nissan seems to like to have there cars compete with each other or something.

They can, but the Japanese government will kill them with export taxes. That's why all the japanese supercars before now have been rated at 276hp when the truth is some of them have well over 300hp.(ex. R34)

Also if you notice in the pics of the GTR concept that they have on ultimate car page.com the steering wheel is on the *left* side of the car.

Ok a couple thingsall the pics that Ion Rays posted tell which will be here. Infinity does not exist in Japan so if it has a nissan badge on it it will be in Japan unless Nissan decided to bring over a very high end Nissan. I doubt that cuz that would make Infinity useless here. And if you ask me the Infinity in the pics looks a lot like the Toyota Soarer (sp?) from the front.

You say it will be the VQ35DE except it will be a twin turbo. Well then it won't be that engine code. Maybe it will be a VQ35DETT but i don't think so. Also, it can't be the same engine coming over here as is in the Skylines in Japan. The way the engine is layed out will not allow them to be made left side drivers.

They can import almost anything they want. It is a matter of if it meets the safety standards in the U.S. In Japan however they can only list cars at certain powers regardless of what they really are pushing.

Actually this is all old news...the Skyline is out in American now...its the new Infinity..its just the toned down (non turbo, non awd) version. They do plan on making a turbo version sometime.

yea the skyline 350GT-B sedan is out here as the infinity g35...but the g35 coupe is that will phase the next GTR...Btw its not called skyline anymore...its called nissan GTR only and it is going to be using the VQ35 motor..i was tryin to point out that the Vq35de already outputs 276hp limit in japan , it wouldnt make sense if they drop a twinturbo only adding 10hp. They choose to use the VQ series coz it aluminum and compact then the long iron-block straight-6 RB series..they were aiming to improve the 50/50 distrubution used in the 2001-2002 skyline sedan 350gt-B...skylines comes in diff models,the 250gt is single turbo/250GT4 is awd, the GTR versions are the only awd & TT which are only 2door-2+2 sedan coupes.

If nissan do push it to 400hp, it wouldnt be alone because of honda duelnote 400hp hybrid which rumored to be on production. Or the toyota 4000gt V8 @ 400hp and the next Nsx vtec v8. i hope they do break the gentlemen agreement and go ape on those German monsters and american muscles.

NBlarson: that pic is over 2yrs old. The concept pic that I put up is the GT-R concept that nissan actually built and has displayed at auto shows in Japan. I think for the US market they will probably keep the G35 coupe body, cuz that looks even more sexy

I know, isn't sad [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]. I love that style, but I did hear that redesigning was going into the GTR, just hope it somewhat resembles the Skyline heritage, cuz frankly, the G35 is cool and all, but it ain't a GTR by any means.
