simple mods

I'm new here, could use your advise. My pops just handed me the keys to his 2001 Civic EX 5 speed sedan. Pretty sweet car, but I'd like to upgrade a little. I've been searching through the site and have come up with some things I think will help without voiding the warranty or requiring any major work. Let me know what you think, and if you have any other suggestions.

-AEM Cold Air intake with bypass (for the floridian rainy season)

-Cat-back exhaust- I dont want something loud. The DC TCS system looks good, but expensive. How about the Greddy EVO?

-Rims- I don't really want to mess with the suspension, so should I get 16x7.5 or 17x7 rims? I like the EVO and Actions by Mille Miglia. Is Mille Miglia a quality brand? I also like a set from Borbet. How is thier quality?

Thanks
JB

you can get the bypass valve but imo that is 50 bucks that could be spent somewhere else. So far I've read good things about the DC sports TCS but I too have a 4dr and plan to get the GReddy evo. Search for threads about these exhausts and also look under the reviews forum to see if anybody gave their .02 about either exhaust. I have never heard of the last 2 brands for rims that you mentioned so can't help you there.

No It does not void the warranty in any way, unless it can be proven by Honda that the aftermarket part was the cause of the problem..otherwise all warranties stand..

By the looks of it he Did search carefully, and just wants some added input

So,

For your Exhaust try looking around On-line you can find some pretty awesome deals here and again

The AEM CAI is a good choice..he Injen develops a little more torque earlier on though and it's a few $$ Cheaper..but with that and rain it's better to get the AEM Bypass and INJEN CAI..

For wheels.. if you're not gonna lower the car I wouldn't go bigger than 16" rims or it'll just look silly.

Cheers
Mohawk

man the intake go with injen like mohawk said and trust me get the bypass valve worth every penny. and exhaust if you wnat quiet go with dc the greddy evo is like $650 to $700 from where I have seen it at a import shop around here. and No offence but if you get rims you would really need to lower your car Im just saying and I know everyone would agree it jsut looks better you dont have to get coilovers you can get jsut lowering springs I have skunk2 coilovers i like them becuase u can adjust them with lowering springs it is jsut one height but i will tell u this lowering springs have a much better ride than coilovers trust me I love my skunk2s at tiems but man do they kill my back going down some roads.
