01 civic lx with 50 shot
I'm not sure if this is a bad or good q.....it would be like if everybody started asking, "what time did you run with magnaflow exhaust, or what time did you run with magnaflow and cai....."
I think sadboy is a little too generous with the 1/4 times and from racing so much at the drag strip and watching people race with diff. mods including nitrous, I'll take an educated guess of mid to high 14's but low 14's could be possible depending on the driver....my .02
As far as wrecking the engine with nitrous, it depends on how many shots of nitrous you use, such as constantly hitting the button (let's say 5-10 times in a day when you're at the drag strip 3-4 days a week) and also what modifications you do under the hood to help the engine cope with the sudden power gains.
sadboy says to have your engine checked after your first shot (which sounds good) but then wouldn't you want to check the engine frequently, say every 2 weeks or so depending on the amount of nitrous used?

good point jon but after myfirst shot i got my engine checked by a pro then every week or so i check it my self nos damage could happed if you use it daily. and about the 1/4 times i think im ABOUT right i have never took my civic to the track but i think i run high 12's i could be SOOOO wrong but thats my guess
sadboy, you're not in member's rides so can you give info. on your mods, i.e. is it a 5-speed coupe, what else did you put under the hood to help with the nitrous etc...
imo with nitrous and all the available mods for the engine that are out for our car (from what I saw in parts) it is still not possible to run 12's but there might be a small chance that high 13's are capable. this is without a turbo and port&polish. My friend with his B16 ran a 65 dry shot from NX and he lowered his 1/4 1.6s which is beautiful. Using this, let's say stock our car can get a 16 flat which might be pushing it (depends on driver) but with nitrous it goes down to 14.6 and all the other mods MIGHT get it into the high 13's...
edit: you have to remember that to begin with we're starting with a very small engine so these mods don't do as much as on a DOHC VTEC motor. Also, getting a 16 flat with our car is VERY hard and with my 4dr the best I've done is mid-16's up to this point but I still have a ways to go....

well a CRX with no interior and a b18c5 with CAI ran a 12.93 here... so high 13's with a 50shot I'd say can be done.. but most likely low 14's

RF...Most likely low 14's is fairly realistic. with some lightening and such... HP isn;t all that.. HP is the finite ability of the engine.. Torque is a cars ability to accelerate to the cars max potential.... a 50shot boosts a civic up to about 180ft.lbs of torque...given that...a great ET.. I can see high-mid 14's happening....a low 14 with an Intake, headers, Exhaust most of the cars interior stripped...

- they are a lot of rich white boys here that use nitrous daily. they spray at every stoplight. and they're driving ford contours, cavaliers, and i even saw a dodge durango spray twice when my friend in his 93 integra raced him.
