Custom ram induction...
I just installed my custom RAM induction system today, and I am extremely pleased with it, I'll have pics in a few minutes if you just hang in there and let me find the digital camera...

There are a few pics of the Ram in there, but the most important thing I would have to say about this, is that you could do it for only 15.00, at home depot... And I can feel serious gains in the speeds above 30mph, Tell me what you think, and let me know if I should add anything, cooling...etc.

You must be from redneck country! That is the dummest thing I have ever seen! I didnt see an air filter in any of your pictures either. I hope you have one on there. It looks way too cobbed together and you should have hid the intake behind the gril in the bumper instead of having that ugly funnel sticking out of you bumper!

It looks like you cut, taped, and removed quite a lot!!!!
Are you kidding and trying to do one of those "let put a bunch of stickers and fake wings on our car and make fun of ricers"
Where is the filter? What are you ramming, rocks and dirt into the intake?
Seriously, you should have just bought a CAI for $150, and not devalued your car ten times that much!!
Mike

i dont know if u guys have heard of it, or seen it, but near by my house, theres a performance shop that sells a cold-air extension kit. its made by Ractive, and it uses one of their air filters, and looks a heck of a lot clean than that mickey mouse job. just spend the $50 (cdn) and get one.
Don't know what to say............Not to FLame.....
by your Member Name.. you seem to have an EX... if you were able to afford Ex in the first place...
Why go cheap with an intake.. why didn't you buy AEM or Ingen... it's only little compared to LX & EX price difference...
Just my 2 cents...
had to vent..

I'm terribly sorry for your loss (in trade-in value that is).

Alright.... A NON-FLAMER here...
The idea works, I did something similar to my 88 trans am... I noticed big difference on the freeway.
The only thing I don't like is the ABS pipe sticking out of the bumper... I would try relocating it, or you could try another approach... try getting a heater/ac wall unit piece of metal from home depot... much wider opening and in theory you could have more air being forced into the pipe...

this is sorta like a "beta" version, right? meaning there's gonna be a much-revised final after this... where you don't use tape? it's a great idea, just umm... needs a few finishing touches.
i just have one major question... where's the filter?!

Yeah I dont know much about cars... but ahhhh.. yea... I hope you have another car to drive in the rain an snow... but on nice sunny days it should work very well... maybe edit it so it dosnt stick out so much and you can prob jus but mesh in front to hide it.. cause it does look a lil silly

You guys crack me up, ok so I get the idea, but I already did the math, to replace the part that I cut will only cost me a couple of bucks, which I already have anyway. As far as trade in value, who gives a shizzznit, It is my car that I am paying for, and it is a honda, which is why I bought it(300,000 miles +). I understand I have some finishing touches that need to be made, and I have already bought the chrome piping I need, I am just waiting for the bypass valve to come in, they are all out right now at my import shop. YESSSSSSS, I may be a newbie to this website, but I was a very frequent commuter on honda-tech.com, for over a year... I am also NOT STUPID, I do happen to know what hydrolock is, and I do have a filter intalled on the back of the pipe that you see, connected to the front of the aluminum ducting. It may be a model of what I'm doing, but I am only experimenting right now... As far as gains go, at 40mph and above, serious gain and pull. It feels like I don't even have a second gear now, ( slight exageration ) Unlike it did before when I had just the cold air installed. It is a slight forced induction at higher speeds, and trust me I wouldn't have done this if I had wanted to trade this car in... HE** no!!! I plan on turning this car into a monster, but for now I lack the speed and need to beat all the ricers in this town, and lack the turbo to do it, so I am having fun... But hey not to flame or anything against all the people that flamed me, I actually do work on my car instead of letting some half *** import/tire shop jack me around, and charge me $50, for something I can complete before they can, oh and by the way...
