Hello all, This is my first post in quite a while but I thought you guys would find it interesting. Saturday night at about 1am I went out to look for someone to race. At about 2am I decided to give up and had just turned around to head for home. I notice what looks like a new Si hatchback on a side road fixing to turn and head my way. I slow down and it pulls beside me and it turns out to be a friend of mine that used to have a 2k1 civic ex and sold me his dc tcs off of it. Anyway he just got the car tuesday so we pulled over and talked a little. We headed the same way home a raced several times. Just short little spurts, no quarter miles or anything. I have a 2k1 ex coupe with Hp full length header w/ high flow cat, dc TCS, aem CAI, revo short shifter & 17's. He is all stock of course. We drove side by side at about 50mph and I dropped in second, it took him a few seconds to pull on me but when he did I never gained any ground. We then started at 60mph and I dropped to 3rd and he immediately pulled on me fairly quickly. We raced from 1 stop light and our takeoffs were pretty close but as soon as he got good traction he pulled ahead again. I did pull on him once when I dropped to second but I think thats cause he was in 3rd. It was pretty fun and we passed 1 cop going about 70mph but we lucked out and the cop didnt follow us. Most of you know his car has the rsx 2.0 liter engine with 160 horses. All in all I think my ex is pretty quick compared to a stock 7th gen civic and I expected to lose to his Si but I was pleased that I made it kinda a close race and I was happy that I didnt get beat any worse.
