rims...how wide?

my choices are 6, 7, and 8.5. 8.5 wouldnt stick out too much? also, if it does, do they make mud guards so it is street legal, or do i have to make my own?

mohawkboom is an unknown quantity at this point
depends on what size rims and what size tires.. if you wanna go 215/40R17's. get 7" Wide rims with a 40mm offset.. you can use 7.5" wide rims but you'll need a 42mm offset, Also the rims will be just as wide as the tires so it would be easier to knick the corners.. better off with 17 r 16x7's with a 40mm offset...
