tint law clarification please?

OK so in MI, I can only have 35% reflectivity. Does that mean that if I get a REFLECTIVE tint, I can only get 35%, but if I get like a black limo-tint I can do it 100%? Or still only 35%.......? cause that's not reflective, just black... Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I don't really know how to ask this.....thanks!

NOPE. The 35% allowed by law is how much light is allowed to pass through you windows. The tint is legally allowed to block 35% of the light into your car and allow 65%. It has nothing to do with the type of tint reflective/smoke.
