Want to trade-up for a new car. How does it work?

Have a question....I might consider trading my EL for an RSX later this year if the $$ works out. Now what I don't get is if I have a 4 year lease contract with my EL, and there'll be 2.5 years left over on my lease, how much am I looking at? Cuz I remember the sales dude that sold me my car said something about an upgrade program and basically I won't get penalize if I'm trading up for another Acura. But he didn't explain it in details. Any idea?
