Re: Need Help!!!

Sell the civic. Add that to the 10gs you have and down it on a Si. Spending 10 thousand on a 10 year old car that probably costs 3 grand is not an ideal way to go. You'll have better performance and looks without the hassle of throwing all that crap into an old car.

Re: Need Help!!!

Maybe he's a drug dealer guys. I would also suggest not dropping 10g into that unless you are only looking for a really fast car because odds are you wouldn't be comfortable in that as a daily driver or atleast there are better options for a fun daily driver *cough* 8thgenSI *cough*. So if your dream is to get a light fast beater type car then a turbo swap is def a good thing but I wouldn't get a body kit so as to keep it sleeper and earn some of that cash back by working fools over in street races and would dump the rest into lowering and other suspension because I think that's how 6th gens look best, no body kit but slammed to the ****in ground. Let us know what you decide and post if you turn that thing into a monster. Also I think the motor swap you would be looking at would be a B18 but others would know better or you could search the forums, I'm sure it's been covered.

P.S. 300th post w00t w00t only took me a year and half too...

Thanks for the info, so u dont think its smart putting 10gs into this car? Just saving that money for a 8thgenSI and a turbo swap. Becuz I am planning to use boost. Ok, lets just say i cant buy a new car and i want to build this 1 up from noting. Which engine would be the best for it. becuz im planning to go for a R20a2. But if this is not a good choice, i would really appreciated in telling me which engine would be the best? Thanks in Ahead.

Re: Need Help!!!

Well I think that putting 10gs into the car is a good idea only if you understand what you are losing buy not spending that 10gs other places like saving or whatever. Going this route you will not have a comfortable car, you will not have a car worth half what you put into it, you will not be able to count on the car's reliability as much, and there are other trade offs as well and if you don't want that then saving for the new generation si would be my advice. But if you are okay with all those things and still want to spend the 10gs in one place then I think that the engine swap then turbo install would yield a hella fast car, that's what I meant by turbo swap is both of them together.
About which engine to swap into the car then I am definitely not the right person to talk to so I would suggest a search in the 6th gen category for engine swap and see what people have done before and which is the most cost effective, but the B18 from the 6thgen si is what I heard most get. I also don't know of any 6th gen body kits and either way my .02 would be just to drop it and no body kit.

*cough* click on the scales left of my signature *cough*
