i was wanting to know, what is the best type of steel piping to use when making your own downpipe. i didnt know if it was the same thing that you could goto like a home depot or lowes to buy. if anyone could help out, then i appreciate it. thanks

304 stainless. You cant buy it at Home depot.
Order it from a place like Verocious motorsports, ATP turbo or Kteller.
You'll need to TIG weld it.

no i dont know what kind of metal i need, but ive been to welding school, and im a liscensed mechanic in the army so im sure it will turn out fine. and thanks for everyone who realizes what this site is all about and also to everyone you gave me good info. thanks

In order to make dp, you will need two guys and a girl and...oh you mean a down pipe lol, I agree with the rest 304 stainless and home depot or lowes.
