I don't live in California but I'm positive if you don't have a carb sticker you won't pass. DC and one other brand I forget the name are the only ones carb exempt.

the only way to get the car to pass smog is to do an entire ex exhaust conversion using CARB approved parts. such as dc header and random tech cat pipe. you may still have a problem if the tester isnt cool because the law states that you must provide proof that the cat was bad and when replacing it cannot be moved to a different location. using the ex conversion it moves the cat to under the car instead of on the manifold. so like i said it depends on the tester on whether or not he wants to let it pass.
on another note its not worht the money your going to spend. the dc header is over priced and so is the random tech cat pipe. with the price of your exhuast included your going to spend close to a grand and gain maybe 3-5whp but you will lose bottom end. so to recap youll loose trq but gain hp in your upper rpm band. IMO for a daily driver its not worth it. i mean how much time do you really spend above 4k rpms?
