2005 Civic Coupe OEM Fog Lights

I have a 05 civic ex coupe and i was thinking about picking up some of the OEM style fog lights from ebay ($50 with shipping). I understand i havta take the bumper off and everything. I was looking over the directions straight from honda. Has anyone installed there own OEM fog lights? Is it hard? Approximately how long does it take? Are those $50 "OEM Style" lights from ebay good quality?

Please advise

Hell yeah they're a bitch to install! It took me almost 3 hours by myself to install it. Taking off the bumper, wiring, cutting, and aiming. You can't tell that they're knockoffs; it works exactly the same. The only problem is that the wiring isn't exactly the same as the factory one. Every wire is the same except for the one ones that connect to the part in the steering wheel, it doesn't have it. The switch is also a piece of ****. My advice is to go with the factory ones because it comes with all the correct wires. Go ahead and install it yourself, it will be fun. Just think of it as a learning experience.

Since the wire is different that connects the lights to the steering wheel what do you have to do to get them to work?

yeah i agree on ebay it says oem style but there is always a minor flaw. I bought a oem style painted spoiler and thought it was the same exact fit as the template holes in mY trunk....let just say i have 4 unnecessary holes in my trunk after in stalling a spiler that is .4 a inch smaller than it is soppouse to be
still looks good though andi saved a good $150

DONT get 'em from ebay...... i got a set thats on my car rite now... i had to cut my earo lip kit since the fogs didn't sit probably, then it took me forever to find the right button and that didn't even fit the slot in the interior. you're better off just getting oem. it takes a while to install btw, you have to run the wires around the engine bay through to the dash.

dude according to honda, the fogs wont fit in with the aero kit. so even with OEM fogs you would have to cut. the only problem with the ebay ones is the wiring, you can just tap them into your parking lights for a quick fix. then any time you turn your lights on the fogs go on too.
