heh, r8 is meant to compete to lamborghinis and ferrari's. don't see how it could be under 100k. 80k for gt-r is kinda high though... figured like 45-60k heh.

If i had the money, id buy one. And they will sell and wreck alot of people lives who "think" they can afford one. Actually for under 60k cant you get an r34 converted for the US? Id rather do that.

"This wasn't a bad rumor, as the hyper-performance the GT-R is known for doesn't come cheap. Most Americans won't pay $60K for a fast Nissan, but $60K for a Porsche-beating Infiniti sounds like the deal of the century. Based on that fact alone, we all felt it was safe to say that the next GT-R was in fact going to wear Nissan's premium badge"
60k according to car and driver.. i was off so its a tad cheaper than a corvette z06 but more than a regular corvette
and id rather buy a skyline over a chevy any day. I knew there was no way they were going to charge that much for a nissan, and its been a known fact that it will be wearing the infiniti badge. Im sure when it is released it will be nothing short of amazing.

didnt you look at the first post, its going to be a nissan, not an infiniti. As for your bashing of vettes, I would rather own a vette any day than a Nissan POS that breaks down all the time
. i do however like new fast toys ohhya, corvettes win best quality sports car every year. Where the hell is the 350z at? or G35? they don't even hold thier value as well..
ignorance...
Just because its japanese doesn't mean its 'the only option'
well, seeing as to how just because I drive a civic, doesnt mean im only into "japanese" cars. Actually, if I didnt need a car with good gas mileage, I never would have bought my civic and I never said the 350z or g35 are award winning cars...where did you get that from? Last time I checked, chevy was not known for reliability. I never even said the corvette was a POS. It is indeed an amazing car, one that breaks down all the time, but still an awesome car. Sorry your swinging on the corvettes nuts, but its not THAT amazing of a car...i would never buy a chevy anyways.
i apologize for not knowing everything about cars like yourself. Maybe you should open your eyes and see that chevy isnt exactly top notch quality like you say.

Example, I don't like the WRX (boy hood racer) but I do acknowlege its engine one the worlds best award this year.
As for the GTR we'll just have to see how it is... For 60 grand im not impressed by what I read. 450hp but the car weighs 3800LBS thats a ton of weight! however it is said to be AWD 0-60 4.8 secounds. This will make it a direct comp to the R8 except it beats it in price

aye, the weight upsets me. someone posted a video a bit back of a race between the r-32, r-33, r-34, and r-35. r-35 (new gt-r) was complaining about body roll/weight of the car the entire time.
well, you may like the corvette, and articles may state that it is an awesome car, but my friend and his dad both had one and they ended up getting rid of them because they had way too many problems with them...both of them. Now, it may just have been a fluke, but thats the experience ive had with them. And as far as me knowing nothing about cars, im not the one who was telling everyone at the meet how tenzo r is mugen of america....
and as far as it not being an infiniti, you are wrong.
"Nissan Motor Co has decided the new R35 Skyline GT-R will be sold in the US under the Infiniti brand, as the Infiniti GT-R.
Nissan executives have been battling for the Skyline to debut with a Nissan badge instead of an Infiniti badge because the Skyline is known to be a Nissan globally, and in games such as Gran Turismo. But studies have shown that sales might suffer if a premium sports car has a Nissan badge on it. The Nissan badge generally commands a lower price tag than Infiniti’s."
Pulled that from http://paultan.org/archives/2005/12/...infiniti-gt-r/
And if you would read correctly...which you yourself posted...

man you are ignorant....
he still hasn't checked the link... And tenzo does share parts with mugen of japan. Look at where thier rims are produced, the same facilities.
Anyways, I got to ignore the stuff
I think the weight will hamper the handling factor of the car. Its like the new ford gt500 its a lumbering beast. Also if we do get a twin turbo version, are the turbos syncro? so we can have a steady torque curve, otherwise I suspect some lag like the audi rs4 I've driven (also a heavy car). Lots of upper end but not much on the low end power makes a car seem sluggish. I'm looking forward to test driving one though

is it based off the infiniti platform or the 350z? from what i understand they're pretty similar but obviously g35 coupe is heavier. what are the actual differences though?
actually i did check the link.......
...and it doesnt matter if the wheels are made in the same place as where mugen stuff is made, they have absolutely no connection...
mugen = pure sex
tenzo = pure ****.
