About LoJack... you gotta notice your car was stolen first. If they take it from your house while you're asleep and you can't report it until morning... sucks to be you because they had a whatever-hour head start. Also... in this particular case - if you called LoJack even while you were chasing them and they got away from you - pro strippers can reduce a car to a shell in like 30 minutes. The dealership I work for got hit over the summer by what looked like 3 guys... they DEVASTATED 20-some odd cars in a period of 4 hours.
Another unfortunate story:
A guy I sold a 2005 TL to had his car stolen with LoJack in it. They had installed the LoJack in the rear seat bench cushion. When the police showed up, all they found was the rear seat stuffed into a trash can, some broken glass and the hood and other assorted pieces... apparently the remanants of the location the stripped the car in and thats what they couldn't fit / didn't want.
So - LoJack is only effective at finding whats left of your car.
If it were me personally - If you were chasing in a car - I would have followed my car all the way into a high speed police chase. At least I would have got to keep my car - unless they wreck it running from the cops. If you were on foot, then congrats on even getting the plate #.

Well the cops wouldn't have gone through all that trouble. Besides they were headed into the ghettos and i didn't think my life is worth my car. Most car jackers carry guns and when they are in there territory they probably have massive back up

Sorry to hear about your car. I grew up in PHX and had my car stolen there. I also had it broken into in front of my house, I knew the guys who did it but couldn't prove anything. So I know what you are talking about. What Uni. ASU. On the LoJack issue you need to call and make sure it will work in your area. I know in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, etc. it does. But out here in IL where I am at it doesn't do **** for me. Hope you get you car back. I know when I did my insurance only gave me what the car was worth K.B.B. But I had a no name company with one office and 2 workers there. So hopefully you will have much better luck.

man I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. i had a silverado that was totally redon. rebuilt 350,boyd coddington wheels, pioneer system, full 5-6 drop and paint- just to name a few mods and it was stolen FROM THE NOPI NATIONALS IN 02. i thought i would never get over it and i shunned all vehicles for months until my civic finally put me back in the mood. it is a huge downer and will be all you can think about for weeks, but you qill get over it and will oneday want to do it again- trust me!

Your telling me. about $6,000.00 in stereo, cd's and some personal stuff. Insurance wouldn't cover any of it. Cops said they couldn't do anything about it cause there was no real proof.

Well guys they found my Si on the 12th in the middle of the desert.....I was gonna take pictures and post them online for you guys but it hurt bad enough to look at the car. They took everything except, the doors, the cruise control and the roof liner, and i am not exaggerating, it was so sad to see that, but all i can say is car jackers are heartless and ****** and next person who tries stealing my car is not gonna live to sell what they stole...... I miss my civic but I hope it R.I.P. I won't ever own another Honda unless its an s2000, once my 7thgen is gone i am done with building Hondas.

they offered me 11,000 already, i bought the car for 11,400 and it had about 2000 in upgrades, i am fighting for more but we will see, i will let you know how much they give me....it sucks because I searched forever when looking for a Si and i found that one, One owner, completely stock, never modified not even tinted windows, Clean title, I jumped on it and now its just like all the other Si's....destroyed.
this is why i bought a viper alarm the best one....they can get in the car but cant steal it ...well they can steal my radio and whatevers around but thats about it.....my friend at work had his car broken into 3 times they kept trying to steal it (b18swap) and never got anything but his radio and money

What a sh!tty situation. When my last car got broken into, and all my stuff was stolen, my homeowners/renters insurance covered the contents of the car not covered by the car insurance. You may want to look into that, if you haven't already>

Insurance is up to 12,735....Cha...Ching hahahaha. Well here in Tucson there is a company that does motor builds called Collective, there is a gang here that got in some type of argument with them, now people with collective stickers get their cars stolen just out of hate crime and they do some messed up stuff. Like for example, they take the engine, leave one rim put the rest steelies, the tag it collective sucks, they then do other messed up stuff and dump them. Car theft is bad here and then there is those ghetto people that do that hate crime ****.
