so ive been hearing word about it.. some telling me its just another 8thgen, others saying its going to be a 9thgen. but still havent seen any pictures anyone know what it looks like?

Alot of things will change between 2006 to 2007 and from 2007 to 2008. Its not a new car it will look the same but they will fix problems on the car and improve it a bit.

thats exactly what i told my friend about it being a 9thgen but i cant rest my case until i show the son of beezy a picture of it. then he'll owe me 20 bucks. haha. anyone got pics of the coupe si? not really interested in getting one but really just want to see it.

the 07 looks the same as the 06, there's no exterior changes and just a couple very minor interior changes.

doesn't honda do the 5 year complete redesign thing? they will put a car model out, then 5 model years later they redesign it from the ground up, then 5 model years later they do it again. every 3rd model year, honda does a facelift to the model to make it more refreshing. which means the 9th gen will not come out until 2011.

or at least that's what i thought...

just to tell you honda has no plans of bringing the hatchback to the US and the type R has the exact same K20Z3 as the 06 civic si here...same 197hp engine

i dont know if they have the same specs or not. but i do agree that honda isnt planning on putting out the type r here.

honda wouldn't dare put out they're newer type r models out in the states reason being all the domestic brands are doing their best keep up with the japanese market's fuel efficiency and high performance outcomes, while maintaining cheaper production costs.

everyone has seen the k23 turbo engine and there is no way thats gonna come out here in the states.

yuup! mainly European nations and some Asian nations enjoy hatchback cars. It's only starting to grow a little here with the new subcompacts but I wouldnt expect a Civic hatch maybe until 1 or 2 generations later.
