Signature Picture Size
This is just a request, but let's try to keep modem users in mind with our sig pics. Mine is currently 8KB's. I think that sig pics of 20KB's or less are possible and they will still look nice. If you don't know how to properly save your pictures to make them as small as possible without losing too much quality then ask someone to help you out. Yes, you're right, this belongs in the Website Stuff forum. I should moderate myself, but I won't since I know that this is the forum with the most activity in it and this request will help out a lot of the people using this site.

29KB's is allright, but it could be smaller. This is just a suggestion to help out the modem users with the surfing of this site, so you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. However, I'm sure the modem users will thank you if you do.
Hmm...I'm a modem user. I connect at 28.8...damn old phone lines. I've never had a problem with pictures downloading slow, though. I've noticed that, as far as modems go, there isn't a whole lot of difference in the speed. I've used older computers with 14.4 modems, and they seem to download just as fast as my cousin's computer that connects at 53k. If you ever download anything on a modem, the fastest average download rate is 6 kb/sec...so connecting as low as 14.4 isn't going to affect your speed a lot unless you are downloading several things at once. So far, that is the only problem I've noticed with my modem. If I am downloading files and visiting web sites at the same time, then it is extremely slow. If I only have one or two windows open at a time, and I'm not downloading any files, then it's all good.

And I probably got most of you beat because my first computer was a Commodore 64. Guess what the 64 stands for. That's how much RAM it had. What? That's not MB, that's 64KB of RAM
