Is everyone scared to post?

There has been so much jumping on noobies backs lately that it seems there has been the whackest posts lately. I am getting sick of all the I want this and that, I got this and now look at my sh?t. Too bad for 01/02 civics and no available turbo kits, superchargers, engine swaps, ect. To me it just seems to be a lack of posting material besides repeats like a *****. You know what I mean, what else is there to post, you either post a flame or repeat what other's have posted.

Hey man, if you dont like the way the site is then your more than welcome to leave. Just enjoy what we have and try and contribute as much as possiable, our cars are still "new" and it takes a bit of time for R&D to happen for some of the bigger engine components and they will be fourth comming.

So just sit back and relax man.

wouldnt call myself a noob, but as i have recently registered a nick, I wanna say that you dont scare me

but really, your car is ULEV.......... ULEV!!!!!

its quite simple. ANY sort of forced induction you do to your car is gonna void it. that is why no companies are gonna make turbochargers or superchargers for your car. engine swap? dont even think about what that is gonna do for emissions.

ANY sort of real performance is gonna kill your ulev, you will fail smog, and cant drive yoru car.

ANY person here who claims they have done ANYTHING to get REAL performance out of their car, short of nitrous, isnt gonna pass smog. and I dont think ANYONE here would like the fact that they gotta go to a seedy place to get a "$100 smog check"

If you want any performance, and keep ulev, nitrous is really the only way to go. because honda killed its tuner car image.

and if you scare easily cause your yelled at fro driving rice, or you ask silly questions cause your a noob (werent we all at one point?) or you dont LIKE getting yelled at, you dont belong here.

as far as repeat threads, this IS a forum. most of teh ppl here are prolly 16 yr olds with rich parents or have a min wage job of ALL disposable income. they dont know d_i_c_k about cars, and are eager to learn, but accept everything they are told, no questions asked. This is how rice propagates, and this is how repeat threads propagate.

the 16 yr old civic owner just did something to his car, and like the child who wants to be awknolaged, he goes to the ppl who would care - his peers. thats us, god blass the anonymity of teh internet. so he take a pic of his rear bumper with his shaved emblems, posts it online, then asks for our approval. very simple concept. we do it all teh time

BTW what do you think? www...... haha j/k

as to the rest of the posts, its all about then traying to learn teh buzzwords so they can talk trash, get into an argumant with one o them and you will leave them without a leg to stand on. they know teh buzz word, not the concept.

as to searching, its much more comforting to a younger generation to be told, and not to search. this probably goes back to (and now I am officially talking out of my ***) the comfort of a teaching envoronment, where we were fed information, not having to go out and find it ourselves.

yelling at them is not the answer, but I will be dammed if nuturing them is teh right answer either. yeah, your gonna scare tehm away, but then they are just gonna go join another forum and keep their MOUTH SHUT until they have learned enough to say something, or can speak of their own experience shaving emblems and bolting a tip on their exaust. doesnt help this forum, no, but it sure does help to eliminate rice as defined by an import car (ever notice teh increase of ricy mustangs? )

sorry. had a bit of diahreea of teh mouth

LOL, against him?? I felt like I should take a test or something after that lecture!!! Just because he is a Junior Member and new to THIS site does not mean that he is uneducated when it comes to cars. Its kinda nice to know that people on this site can actually have intellectual things to say from time to time. Sure, the slang is nice sometimes, but IMO it makes us look like a bunch uneducated freaks using slang words for everything. Thanks for the lecture.. hope I get an "A"

Alright, I'd have to disagree with you on a few things. lol. First off, I/H/E isn't gonna effect your ability to pass smog. Your not changing out any part of the emissions. Another thing. A lot of members here don't even have to worry about passing smog since it's not required you take a smog test every 5 years. Moving along, honda hasn't really lost it's tuner image. There are tons of parts coming out for the 7th gen civic now, and turbo's are even in the works. And engine internals are currently being developed by companies like Crower.

yeah i hear ya Mitch. But many people dont have any idea of the technical aspect of our cars. Like everyone says these are new cars and it will take a while to become universal with all members. I have thought about custom turbos and superchargers but to me it aint worth it. I rather just have my ride all show and lil go. But you are right there are too many repeat posts, even i have done it.

yeah, smog i was refering to forced induction only. which is why i was saying nitrous is the easiest way to pass smog, as long as you bulk your engine up to take it.

but yeah, the problem with I/H/E is that article i read about AEM's project car, 2001 civic, I/H/E, gained 5 HP, thats it! thats not a gain, thats a waste of money!

as to losing tuner market, of course its not gonna happen righ taway, but think about it. these civics are MUCH harder to tune than older models. the prelude is dead. the integ is dead. the RSX is really too new to tell, but it seems to be more of a classy car to compete with audi and stuff. the civic is going hybrid electric 2003. honda killed all their 16 year old tuner cars.

which is good. you ever notice how riced out mustangs are increasing in number? they are the "new" rice rocket and ford can suck my nuts. what a great move

WhiteRabbit: Okay... You can make a carbon fiber hood by yourself. You know something. Please don't act like you know everything. You're probably right that our cars will not be able to compete performance-wise with many others. So! Please don't try to make us stay away from modifying our cars and making them go faster. If that's not your intention, then I'm sorry for mentioning this. I just feel like you want to make everyone give up on their civic and that's not k3wl.

sprry. i kinda figured my sarcasm didnt work when i said "whats the noise coming from under the hood?" I thought that it might not be clear, but i just let it go. heck, im only 19, and a poor college student, and im pretty new to the mechanics of cars. i am by no means an expert at anything, and i was trying to play off the claim that i am a junior member expert. im sorry that i failed and crated a pompous false image for myself. I think i fixed that by telling everyone im a poor 19 yr old college student

but seriously, im just looking fo rways to do what I want to my car without dropping the serious cash for it. if your looking to save weight, for example, then get a cf hood if you want. but most of us are in it for the look. (gotta love the fiber ) thats why i got posts out there like the OEM CF conversion, and the incandecent body lights (I still say it would look better)

just watch me, im not gonna say anything about camber kits, tires, suspension, headers, or any thing i know nothing about. im not an expert, sorry i couldnt downplay it right.

K3wl, I getcha. Yeah, I'm a poor college student as well. I got into an accident and the other guy was at fault, so many of the mods I have are payed for by the insurance money that I received for that accident. $1635 to be exact.
