a convo with my cousin...

PlasmaManDwight (10:32:29 AM): yo you know what i want the g35 infiniti coupe that **** is hot
PlasmaManDwight (10:32:43 AM): not new thoug use o
Silentlegacy 01 (10:32:58 AM): lol everybody Loves that car
PlasmaManDwight (10:33:25 AM): yo i was checking it out online to see if it might have it cheaper somewhere
PlasmaManDwight (10:33:36 AM): you know a site where i can go check
Silentlegacy 01 (10:35:28 AM): this is one i found with a quick search with low miles
Silentlegacy 01 (10:35:30 AM): http://www.nemetdirect.com/Default.a...wned-inventory
PlasmaManDwight (10:35:39 AM): aight
Silentlegacy 01 (10:36:16 AM): it's an expensive car though
Silentlegacy 01 (10:36:29 AM): just like buying a new gen acura Tl or BMW
PlasmaManDwight (10:36:36 AM): shouldn't it have it on sale cause it used
Silentlegacy 01 (10:36:51 AM): well u see they go by the mileage and condition the car is in.
PlasmaManDwight (10:36:54 AM): atleast 25 g cause it is about 33
Silentlegacy 01 (10:36:59 AM): well yeah the car is still relatively a new gen model...
PlasmaManDwight (10:37:03 AM): or ok
PlasmaManDwight (10:37:13 AM): what that means new gen model?
Silentlegacy 01 (10:37:22 AM): but yeah if u look around u should be able to find one for about 25 g's
Silentlegacy 01 (10:37:27 AM): but it will have more mileage
PlasmaManDwight (10:37:34 AM): or i see
Silentlegacy 01 (10:37:35 AM): remember u want these cars with low mileage especially when considering to re-sale in the future.
PlasmaManDwight (10:37:43 AM): why is that
PlasmaManDwight (10:37:52 AM): so if you was to sell it right
Silentlegacy 01 (10:37:57 AM): because when u buy a used car u don't want nightmares because someone beat the crap out of the tranny
PlasmaManDwight (10:38:10 AM): what's a tranny?
Silentlegacy 01 (10:38:11 AM): u want it in good condition
PlasmaManDwight (10:38:17 AM): true
Silentlegacy 01 (10:38:19 AM): and these cars are usually race performance
Silentlegacy 01 (10:38:25 AM): so people tend to drive them hard
PlasmaManDwight (10:38:38 AM): ever drove one before
Silentlegacy 01 (10:38:53 AM): yeah it's a sweet ride
Silentlegacy 01 (10:38:56 AM): i want one
PlasmaManDwight (10:39:00 AM): hahahah
Silentlegacy 01 (10:39:02 AM): but remember u wanna purchase a car based on ur budget...You don't wanna end up like a lot of these idiots out here with luxorious cars and they eat at mac donalds all the time. I can take that 33 g's for the infinity and hook a civic up to be an elite ride as well and save a lot of money It depends on people's preference and budget.
PlasmaManDwight (10:39:16 AM): everybody loves the civic
Silentlegacy 01 (10:39:31 AM): well it seems like u have a lot to learn about cars
Silentlegacy 01 (10:39:33 AM): i can teach u
PlasmaManDwight (10:39:34 AM): that **** is hot if i had that **** i would be showing off
Silentlegacy 01 (10:39:40 AM): lol..check this site out while ur browsing. www.7thgencivic.com

well I just wanted to share my convo because I felt that we need to be role models to our little one's. He's my cousin age 21 btw...

peace

^^ its the idea that even though you may be able to afford to Buy a given car, doesnt mean you can afford to maintain that car.... or pay for the insurance for that matter.

Yeah, most people aren't trusted to work on cars nowadays... I mean, look under the hood of something like a Honda Pilot. The engine's under a plastic "beauty cover," cause only a "qualified mechanic" is alloowed to work on it. Companies think all drivers are stupid.

And for the most part, they're right.

it's good that youre educating your cousin and also good that he's willing to learn. The young definately need more quality automotive education.

Cars are a status thing for many, and generally an emotional purchase. They want to buy something that gets them looked at or status elevation. If that means they end up eating ramen and living in a shiitehole, many of them do it. CAR RICH = CASH POOR for many.

To each his own, but I personally drive a Civic so that I can have a nice house. What good is a G35 if I had to put my family in an apartment?

Everyones first car should be a Civic. Let them get the knowledge of working on a car with a car where it is easy to work on and then they can transition. I started on a 2002 civic and installed everything on my car, and after that I moved to a 2004 WRX and it amazes me how much easier it is to install stuff since I worked on the civic so much.

It's so sad that I'm one of the few kids at a 5A school that knows anything about cars. I'll vouch for the fact that kids know nothing about cars... One friend of mine tried to tell me his 4-door Mitsu Galant could do 0-60 in "like 2 seconds." I just nodded and smiled.

yeah I honestly think it would be best for him to learn on somehting more friendlier than the G35 cuz that car doesn't need lil punk kids blowing up the engine...I dunno but the G35 should be approached very carefully where as the Tl is more easier to do mods on/in

Yeah, i know a guy who just bought a 350Z. But now that he has that car, hes stuck in his crappy factory job for at least another 3 years to pay off the car.
If he had bought a cheaper car, maybe some of that money could have went towards EDUCATION..but now he has to wait and pay off his new 350Z.

Same here. My 'vic is taking me through school. Unless, of course, I make it into AFA, in which case I'll have no car at all. And like it.
