that looks awesome! I'd make it a black interior and put some lights in there.. those neons that bounce to the music would be cool! I wish I had the money to make a sound system in my trunks.. Anyways that looks AWESOME!!

looks good but how does it sound. You should use the same color carpet as the rest of you trunk.

IMO I think it'd look better if it was flush with the trunk. Also, the box doesn't look symmetrical...

Looks Tight. I'd say go with the original color. If you go all black that will probably be to much black.

How did you mount your amp to the back seat?

I think the install looks symetrical. It should be plently loud with 3 subs. As for the carpet, I have an idea. If you have ever seen a carpet inlay....it would look cool to recarpet the floor, making the subs flush with the carpet...then inlay, or cut our an icon of some sort in the middle space of the 3 subs. Perhaps the Honda "H"??? I would use a different color, such as black is the carpet is grey, or grey is the carpet is black...you get the idea...it would make a great show car-type look...IMO...

too much black becomes gothic.

keep the trunk one color in this case. you'll be happier with it in the long run. if you want to add some flare to it.. mount neons and let them do their thing.

Okay thanks! I shoulda explained the idea behind the sunken look! I also am still in the process of making a cover or a sheild for the subs! So you can tell that they are there and so that when my wife and i go to the grocery store we can still put stuff in the back ontop of the subs with out damaging them! I also left a space on the right side of the trunk to mount the xm radio and the mp3 player! Under the carpeted portion around the subs, is my power cap, and i will be putting my 2 channel amp undeer there when i get it back from the fosgate repair facility!

Looks Tight. I'd say go with the original color. If you go all black that will probably be to much black.

How did you mount your amp to the back seat?

Hey narflar! Havent seen or heard from ya since the boosted/cartoys show last year! Hows your car coming along? Well what i did was i folded down the rear seat then had a peice of mdf 1/2 inch that fit perfect! so i covered the mdf with dynamat just incase it squeeked or vibrated and slid into seat underneath the metal pad retainers! then covered the seat back up and zipped it shut! with the seat still lying down i used very short screws to secure the amp in place to the mdf! Then once the amp was secured i unzipped the carpet cover on the rear of the seat again then ran wires/rca's under the carpeted back and then zipped it back up!

Hope i sheded a little light on it! Dakota! hey narflar? coming out to Hot import nights with all of us northwestern 2k1'ers?

What's your color sceme? Black on black?

Yeah, I have to agree doing your trunk in black would kinda be odd because it would be too much black. How did you accomlish that by the way? You got rid of your spare huh? I have to find some kind of logical reason on why to ditch the spare before I build something like that...

In my car, I just raised my trunk floor up 4 inches, and everything is under it (amps, cap, crossovers, carputer, inverter, etc.)...it looks 100% stock. I havn't currently done any kind of clear plexiglass windows yet, but when summer time comes around, and I'm done with this little thing called school, I will rebuild my trunk again.

From what I can see, the left side is like an inch or two shorter than the right. Things like that kind of get to me...

When I suggested black, I meant the portion around the subs in the cutout area.

Make the are around the subs in a triangle and make that triangle orange or yellow. That would be deffinitelly something that we havn't see much. It would look like a road sign, it would draw attention.

Unless if he has used/is planning on using orange or yellow somewhere else on/in his car, those colors are too extreme, and would throw the whole thing outa whack!

if i remember correctly, u had a red neon in your trunk. so i would either go with red or black around the subs, eitehr red, to go wihth the neon, or black to go with the rest of the car.

I wouldn't do anything actually. Here's how I would tweak it however:

-Mount it flush with the rest of the trunk
-Get some new carpet for your trunk, and redo the floor of the trunk (make sure it looks like stock however)

That's it Then just accent it with red neons

What do you mean you cant put stuff in the trunk? I don't get how you made it....do you know how to work with fiberglass by any chance? You can just add some kind of piece over it, and kida bevel it down, and around the subs...
