1/4 mile time

I ran my car last night and I ran a 16.46 on stock wheels (my Lx 5 sp) and my friend ran his 2k1 and his best was 17.57 (his Ex Automatic). He has 17" focals he ran on and also has an AEM SRI. I have a custom catback with 2.25 pipe and I had my stock air box in(intake didnt fit) POS OBX intake! And I also had my stock wheels on.Not bad

I wonder what an LX can score in the 1/4 mile? The best time that is... Yours is pretty good. I think a 16 might be possible.

I want at least 15.5 and then I'll be satisfied. It's asking alot but thats respectable for LX without nos or turbo . just basic mods.

My whole point was that the EX is an auto so there fore it is going to have a slower time.

Yes, I agree. Don't compare an AUTO aganst a Manual. The auto trans also adds more weight. The ex doesn't have a whole lot more hp to begin with.

I assume you guys are expressing your dissatisfaction at Civic automatics ONLY, as we all know that a properly
built automatic will get you to the end of that drag strip faster than a manual.....

We know this, right?

Oh ok, we are straight now. Always good to shut a good friends mouth. I bet he has been flaming you about how his is faster because it's an 'ex' and has those mods.
